Dog Sports Skills, Book 1: Developing Engagement and Relationship Paperback – 24 February 2016

This book is a must for anyone who is looking to train their dog to competition level with positive only methods and create a team with their dog. I hate to read and I brought this book with me anywhere just in case I had a minute to read!

ein sehr schön verständlich geschriebenes Buch. Mit ein wenig Grundkenntnissen in Englisch gut zu lesen.Zeigt einem noch mal worauf es wirklich ankommt in einem guten Training. Sehr auf Hundesport (Obedience, Agi) focussiert, aber dafür sehr gut geeignet.

If you’re into ANY dog sport you need these books. I recommend the Fenzi dog sports pod cast that’s free and the YouTube. Such a positive outlook on dog training but based on facts. I’m a “balanced” trainer who believes in adverse tools properly being used but Fenzi and those within the academy add SO many useful things to the tool box. While no one method is a one fits all - these can be applied to SO many dogs if not in one aspect of training then another. This isn’t a “do this because I say so.” These methods go in deep deep depth and have professionals in many areas of the dog world. I was struggling with some concepts and getting my dogs to do somethings and within two sessions my dogs were different dogs. I could go on for ages about these.

Loved it! I had so many ah-ha's both in my relationship and training with my own dog as well as for those dog-human teams I coach. So much of this information is equally important for any dog-human team, whether in performance sports or not. I am eager to continue with the rest of the series.

Very good book. Good general explanation of the topic and also some examples how to practice it with your own dog. Ends up with detailed description of useful tricks to teach to your dog.
