The protective covering on the letters is peeling, and the board wasn't made perfectly. I can't put letters all the way to the edges. It's a tight fit, so I have to bend the all the letters in place. (They won't slide through the ends because the ends are too small.) But this is my second light box this school year, and this one has a lot more fun letters and is more durable than the first one.

This lightbox is really fun and east to use. Simply remove the protective film from the letters and create your own message. It can be plugged in or run on batteries. ( I use it primarily to root for my sports teams.) There are also emojis, punctuation marks, symbols and such which ca be stored in the back.

Another teacher had this in her room (or one similar brand) and it looked so good that I really wanted one for myself! I chose this mainly due to the variety of fun extra symbols it came with. I thought the kids would like those. I also liked the idea of the extra storage box. You do have to separate all of the letters and symbols when they arrive as they come in sheets. I also rubber-band them together once separated so they don't slide all over the storage box. It comes with a USB cord for power, or you can use batteries, but I had an extra plug for an USB cord and used an extension cord to plug it into the wall. (Very short cord, btw). That to me is it's only flaw, the power issue. Otherwise, it lights up nice and bright and the letters and symbols slide in without an issue.

This is very nice and comes with loads of letters and emojis. My 9 year old really likes it. My only complaint is that the tiles have to be separated from perforated sheets and there is a protective film on each little tile that I could only get off one at a time (not from a whole sheet at a time). This process took a couple of hours and a few of the tiles tore a little during the process.

Unfortunately, the battery option did not work on mine. Idk if I just got a bad one, but I had to resort to using a USB with a portable battery charger that I keep having to recharge. The nice thing is that this has the option of both - wish both options worked though! This came with plenty of letters and emojis! It also is quite sturdy and very bright! Aesthetically am very pleased with it! Would have received 5 stars if the battery option worked.

Easy to use and lots of fun

I spent endless hours comparing light boxes and then decided on this one. I chose not to purchase a light changing one because of many negative reviews regarding malfuctions. This has the best selection of characters for children, in quantity and appropriateness.I did visually inspect it and it is perfect. Very nicely packaged as well. It is a Christmas gift so I did not test it but I believe it's very high quality. It's for a 9 nine year girl who's going to just love it!

I like that this light box came wit a lot of letters and emojis! I gave this as a going away gift for my cousin. Upon arrival, I noticed that it cracked a little during transit. It. It could’ve been worse, but it wasn’t. I put a little bit of tape to hold it down. I liked that there was a thin film of plastic on the letter to keep them from scratching off. My cousin really loved it. I plan on buying more for Christmas gifts!
