Great and fantastic sounding active bass and sub bass speaker ...
Great and fantastic sounding active bass and sub bass speaker unit. bargain at the price. it has a built in crossover which works great so no need to get a crossover. It came with a power lead and castor wheels. It only has xlr input but not a problem. I use this with my Skytec passive 12" tops and its great. you would need a little mixer unless you have 12" tops with thru outputs. so I use a a little Behringer xenyx 802 mixer as it has multiple outputs, I send the main outputs to the 12" tops and the control room outputs to this bass cab which has a separate volume knob so can turn up the bass cab a bit more if need be, especially for 70;s and old music, i got the best result testing this bass speaker with playing modern chart music and the metal band "Korn",which just rattled the walls and windows haa haa !Just remember to buy a mono jack to male xlr lead as it only has a male xlr input. very Happy....

Great value for bass re-enforcement in small to medium sized venues - and not too heavy.
I bought two of these for our covers band to go with two behringer b215xl's. They work well - not the loudest of cabs but loud enough for small to medium venues. Where they excel is that they aren't heavy and will fit in a car. I tried a sound pressure meter on them playing a bass guitar through at just below clipping and only got 104db - so I'd treat the 115db max spl with a pinch of salt. However I've used them for a gig in an aircraft hanger and they were fine. If you're playing at high spl's or EDM music you'll want something much bigger - but for bass re-enforcement they're great. I tune them to 45hz to 80hz, and they fill in the frequency range the behringers don't cover. They come with their own crossover which is adjustable, and I used an x air mixer with two eq lp/hp filters set on an aux send. You can put one xlr into one cab, then take another from the first to the second. As others have said the controls aren't recessed so I put some metal plates round them. If you experience rattling, tighten up the screws.

Brilliant!!
What a brilliant additive to my home setup.I haven’t pushed it hard yet so unsure of clipping, distortion at high levels but at a quarter volume on the back and about 85% volume on the mixer side it sounds awesome. The mackie vision PACX81 speakers I have aren’t meant for bass at all as they are centre stage speakers for vocals etc. but with this sub it makes the sound more enjoyable. I like the crossover also as you can adjust what frequencies you’d like to come through!I highly recommend this sub to people who like extra bass in there home setup and it does in fact shake the floor and that’s at around 25-30% volume 🤣

Faulty
Sent back as it has a huge earth buzz when plugged in

Great Things Come In Small Packages!!
I bought this subwoofer after reading the reviews on Amazon to partner my Yamaha Stagepas 400 PA. I was a little but sceptical when I received it due to it's relatively small size but I needn't have worried. I used it briefly in the house but obviously couldn't get the full impact of it until I set it up in a gig situation. I did this at the weekend and what an amazing difference it made. I spent a little bit time fiddling with the volumes and bass controls to get it set up properly and it was definitely worth it. The bass was deep but well controlled given the price and the Stagepas speakers sounded a lot clearer with only the mids and the highs to contend with. If you are contemplating buying a subwoofer for your system and are thinking of buying this one, go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed!!

Good for price
Loud in a home, clips early, muddy deep bass and metal amp plate vibrates a lot. Not for a large room

Good purchase.
It is a basic but good product in addition to my other three powerful subwoofer with trumping bass running it simultaneously as one with mid and high range monitors. It is okay built I like it it has no thumping bass but underlining continuous low sound reproduction which I find useful and an extra. Good purchase.

Exactly as expected
I ordered this as the bottom end to a pair of Tibo Plus 3 active speakers. The Tibo speakers have a sub out so it seemed rude not to use it. In buying this the aim was for bass extension rather than thump.Setup of the EL-Sub 15a is incredibly simple. There are 3 controls, input level (volume), cross over frequency, and a phase switch. Simply set the volume and cross over frequency and away you go.With this size of sub in a small room (3mx3.5m) one would be worried about the bass swamping the rest of the music - that however is not the case. Bass is plentiful but incredibly tight. With songs like Queen's Another One Bites The Dust the bass is incredibly clean and accurate. On Bert Van Den Brink's version of Bohemian Rhapsody for Pipe Organ, the sub handles the lowest notes with ease. The greatest compliment that I can offer is that it gets on and quietly (well, ok loudly) does it's job with no drama or unexpected colouration of the sound. Highly recommended.
