You absolutely cannot beat the quality for the price
First things first. I add the real cons to the gloves in this review because...that's what I do. So stay tuned, it'll be a balanced show. Let's start. You aren't paying a hundred bucks. You're paying half that. And you're getting a glove that hits with gloves over double this price point. But let's talk about what you get for two quarters. The leather is soft, smooth and supple. That means if you put your hand in and squeeze its not noisy or cheap feeling. The leather has a nice feel to it. Not a cheap painted or fake feel when you first pick them up. The stitching is double stitched. Near flawless. Velcro strap is long. Easy to wrap tight around your wrist. My cons? They smell like ink when you open them. Not good wrist padding. Feels stiff. Cardboard like. It isn't likable to be honest. Handbox is loose, which isn't a deal breaker and is common at this price but I prefer tighter. The glove response leaves something to be desired with a loose handbox. However. No glove at this price has these points well addressed so I don't feel that's totally fair to ding only these gloves on. I'll also ding them on no color selection. You picked weight only. Looks matter too. Also this is the softest glove you'll find at this price. Soft enough that sparring is easy and affordable without being the kid with the cheap brick gloves. These would be my first, second and third for a kid on a budget doing contact at the gym.A con for soft gloves like these is for a 200lb+ man you MIGHT hit hard enough to feel slight discomfort on very heavy or hard bags. But then again, a glove good for sparring is usually less good on a heavy bag and vice versa so you can't win them all. It's basic glove padding 101. I'd say most children in the teenage or so ranted will have no issue using these for both.Overall, beats the competition out to triple the price and punches with them even so. I have my preferences but if I started from scratch these would be my first choice.

Good Quality Glove
After using on and off for six months (took some time off due to cardiac issues) the gloves still look brand new. I'm not the hitter I once was, but after four rounds, three times a week on a heavy bag, I'd expect some wear, and there is none. They have held their shape -- no lumps in the padding, no voids in the glove -- and the fit is solid. You can buy better gloves for sure, but in my (limited) experience, you'll spend a lot more money to get anything meaningfully better. For a quality workout glove at a reasonable cost, the Byakko's are top of the heap.

Great set of Gloves
I was more than thrilled with my purchase of these gloves. They are very comfortable and excellently made. I’m certain the quality craftsmanship used in making these gloves will exceed your expectations. I expect they willl last a long time before showing any wear and tear.

Bulky gloves
The gloves are quite bulky so for practice it's a bit annoying. There are comfortable but it really feel like having giant gloves on you. They are great if you practice different type of boxing and want to have a pair for all. I do Muay Thai, kick boxing and English boxing, so these gloves helped me to save money by not having 3 different type of gloves for each sport. In terms of durability, they "age" a bit fast which is great to break them but I'm not sure if it means good durability.

High quality breathable gloves at the right price!
- The gloves are really comfy so far. I like the width and stiffness of the writ wrap. Gives good support when throwing punches and striking.- Gloves feel really well ventilated. Might be more so right now with them brand new and stuff, but enjoy the vent hikes in the thumb, fingers, and how high up the slit in the palm goes. Can actually feel cool air coming though over my hand when flexing it. Should help keep them from getting super nasty and general comfort level when using.- Padding feels pretty good and shape of the gloves fits my hand really well.- Leather cover on the glove feels really nice, but I’m unsure on how well it will hold up over time and if I’m tossing it around in my bag, at the gym, in the car. Leather material feels a little in the thin side and worry about catching it on something sharp/rough and it tearing. May not actually be an issue and maybe is something that has been tested in R&D.-Overall design of the gloves look good. I love the overall dark appearance. Nothing too flashing, but still easily identifiable as its own brand.

Great gloves
I ordered the 16oz gloves for training purposes. The gloves are awesome. One of my favorite things is the wrist. It's tight and compact. I love that. The velcro is very strong. Since the edges of the strap aren't thick they don't catch on anything and unstrap. I hate when that happens, so that is a plus with these for me. The padding inside is strong. The weight is obviously distributed through the knuckles as the wrist isn't over packed. It will protect your hands very well. The inner lining feels good as well. It doesn't feel thin or abrasive. I'm sure others will mention the lack of colors, but I love the color of these. The blue on black leather pops and looks awesome when throwing punches to me. Overall, great gloves. I'm 6'2" with larger hands and they fit perfectly fine for me. The only negative I can think is not being able to have heavier options. Yet. But the company is newer so I'm sure many more options are to come.
