Buer is a spirit who appears in the medieval magic text known as the Ars Goetia of the Lesser Key of Solomon. Pictured here is an engraving by Louis Le Breton from the 1863 edition of the Dictionnaire Infernal. Buer is said to be a Great Demon President of Hell, and despite his monstrous appearance and title, is described as a helpful and generous spirit; skilled in teaching philosophy, logic, herbal medicine, healing the sick and granting good familiars.
