Copper Nails
They tend to bend very easily. Not suitable for any hard wood trees. I gave up after bending 5 nails.

Forget the doubting Thomas's
As the title of my review states, forget the doubting Thomas’s as copper nails really do work. I first found out about them from my late Grandfather, unlike the sales staff at B&Q who looked at me as if I was an alien. Needless to say they do not stock them, which is probably just as well, as I did not need a box of 10,000 anyway! Hence this purchase. It would have been better if they were at bit longer and a slightly greater diameter though. Mind you it is reassuring to know they can still be purchased. I notice from some of the other reviews that some have had issues hammering them in claiming they bend to easily? Copper is not as strong and is less tensile steel. It really is easy to solve this problem, either use a good brad-awl or better still a drill of slightly smaller diameter than the nail itself and make a hole first – job done. Failing that tap them in gently. Finally, in this world of instant gratification some patience is needed as the stump will not give up overnight, but rest assured it will.
