Funny
I have read this to two classes of 6-8 year olds and they love the stories. Each chapter is an individual story which forms part of the bigger one. Takes around 10-15 mins to read each chapter aloud, and the book contains black and white illustrations throughout. This is such a fun story. It has become my go-to book (followed by the Hodgeheg) for younger children. I even used it as a class guided read.

My son age 10 has dyslexia and he is very much a reluctant reader. He is into Minecraft, so I have bought him just about any book written on Minecraft. Great for Flat Stanley addicts!
We are all fans of Flat Stanley so enjoyed this omnibus hugely. It’s a bit American and a bit old fashioned but we don’t care! Great for ages 5-9 I would say.

Good value collection of short books.
Just right for young readers who can read but are daunted or get bored by longer chapter books. Also works well to read out loud for bed time with children who aren't able to read by themselves yet. Especially, if they find picture books too short, these books have lots of large pictures amongst the pages of text. Works for both girls and boys. My two are 5 and 7.

Great
I already had a copy of "Flat Stanley" which I lent a young, reluctant reader. He loved it and asked for more of the same, so I invested in this set. He has since taken it into school as his chosen reader for English lessons. I'd consider that a success and a good investment.

Even if the illustrations in these books are black and white, you can't miss the chance of travel around with stanley. Great for teaching projects about world's countries and more.
