White Knight WK38AW compact reverse action tumble dryer, 3kg capacity, 2 heat settings, white [Energy Class D]

I have owned a similar white knight Dryer many years ago and I am glad they have not changed a great product too much. As the saying go's if it works, why fix it. It is still small, quiet and works well and the price is reasonable too. All in all a very good buy. The only lack is its weight as with a heavy load on a smoth surface some movment can occure but nothing too serious.

Nothing wrong with the tumble drier, it's just what I needed to replace a similar but ancient one. It works well, quiet & efficient. I like the reverse action, this prevents the clothes getting tangled into a ball. I was not happy with the fact that the delivery man plonked it in my porch doorway and stood and watched as I struggled to move it into my house on my own (I'm a 55 year old woman not a body builder) while he waited for me to sign for the package. Good job I am not a frail pensioner or I would have been trapped in my home!

This is brilliant and cheap compared to other places I looked at and delivery was free....Curry's wanted £22 and I only live round the corner from a store! It is a great size and I like the smaller style as I want to stack it on top of another appliance and so doesn't look as cumbersome. It works great and you can actually fit a lot of things in there. When I ordered this it was delivered a few days later and I was amazed as it came so soon.

This little dryer is fabulous!!! - I was in desperate need for a new dryer but lack appliance space , but then I saw this little beauty!!I honesty can't get over how powerful this little machine is I have owned high end dryer products before - but my god this machine beats those high end ones - it dries stuff amazing quick!!Comes with a hose but I purchased a condenser box as the machine has wheels and is fairly light so can be moved around the house if need be ( hence condenser purchase)

I purchased this item as my old Creda had problems with the door & had trouble getting spares but then it was nearly 20yrs old!!.Was looking forward to this machine after reading the reviews etc & finding very few negative comments. I used my machine for the first time yesterday & must say that I was very dissapointed, it took ages to dry the clothes & that was on the so-called high heat setting, nearly an hour for two Towels alone,I hate to think how long it will take to dry denim jeans the Creda would have done this in half the time, being on a low income I have to think about expenditure. I am also having to get used to the idea of a rear vented machine as the Creda was front vented & could be used & stored in a cupboard, the hose supplied with the WK38AW would have been ample if your able to use it very close to a window but in my case I cannot do this & have had to order an extension hose & coupler so I can expel the moisture out of the nearest window to save my room becoming a sauna the like of which happened on first use. The machine itself is very compact & ideal for a small flat/family,it has wheels on the bottom which saves lugging the machine to its desired position although it is not that heavy. On the whole its a well made machine & my only gripe is the heat settings/output, a switch for hot(supposedly) or cool(presumbably if youv'e got shares in an electric company).I would not recommend this machine on those grounds & definately would not buy another should the need arise.

Do NOT buy this product as it broke down within 3 months of delivery having only been used on a handful of occasions. Trying to get it repaired via the White Knight Service Department Or should I say NO SERVICE Department) has been an absolute nightmare. One month on an has still not been fixed. The repair company "0800 Repairs" acting on behalf of White Knight have failed to attend on two occasions, citing the excuse that they were cancelled by the owner on the first occasion (total fabrication) and then completely failing to turn up on a second occasion, citing that they attended and failed to get an answer at the door. However they also failed to call prior to attending as arranged. On that occasion they stated they forgot to call prior to attending (In short failed to attend altogether and fabricated the story they attended and got no reply). In short the aftersales service from Deals 4U, from whom the item was purchased has been non existent despite numerous e mails and with the regard to "0800 repairs" they are untrustworthy and unreliable. As it stands I am still without a working tumble dryer and will take this matter further via Amazon.

Nice and compact. Ideal for a singleton like my dad. Easy to use, works well, doesn't take up too much space. Replaces the same make he had previously and was very happy with. Order arrived quickly and they telephoned prior to delivery. What more can you ask?

This item replaced a very similar model that was around 25 years old and reached the end of its long life, only needing a drive belt change. The old model (now at the local recycling centre) was dependable but a bit noisy. The new model just purchased is exactly the same size, just as well built but MUCH QUIETER. It is also British. It seems likely to last longer than its owner!!! HOWEVER, I feel that .Crosslee are not doing themselves any favours by sending out a service plan costing £82.30 just to extend the guarantee a further 2 years! Bearing in mind the cost of the machine (£129.99), buying the service plan implies a high risk of breakdown. Bearing in mind that the servicing would be done by Domestic & General Services, I would not recommend that anyone wastes their money on this ridiculous rip off. See lots of comments by many others on D & G Services which I have also found in the past (to be kind) 'less than satisfactory'.
