After further research, I found the battery compartment behind the 'mouth' - inside the mask above the chin there are 2 screws where the batteries go. No, batteries are not included which is why the lights don't work! I was wrong, I said it, I've changed my review to 5 stars, it's so worth it. I've attached new pics and a video of the lights.Original review- No, the lights do not work. Yes, The eye movement button does work. Here's the fact about this mask, it is for display. It sits on a shelf with other superhero stuff and collects dust. I am disappointed the lights don't work just like all the other reviewers. Here is the point, if you like the character and you like the way the mask looks, buy it. It's worth the price ($45 to $65) to have it apart of your collection. Regardless of the non working lights, (which yes is a big deal), the mask is well made, durable, and a good display size. I like the way it looks on my shelf, I look at it often and I have no regrets buying it. Just know what you're getting for your money, there is a yellow box shown under the product picture that states: 'frequently returned item'. It's a gamble, who knows you might be one of the lucky ones who receives one that works. Good Luck

Bought this as a gift, and it's been boxed and waiting. Just realized it might need batteries so opened the box to put the batteries in before gifting it to my nephew and discovered it doesn't work. It appears the one I received was a returned product as the interior packaging was torn up as well. I guess it's my own fault for not opening it right after receiving but it's outside the return window so I'm just out the money.
