My original control board went bad and would no longer regulate temps, just let pellets feed nonstop and tems just keep climbing and climbing.Realisticaly this board keeps temps within 25 degrees of what you set, and is a little more accurate than the original. The extra meat probes are nice but they were not that accurate, and I prefer my remote monitoring thermopro ones anyway.All in all it is a much more cost-effective replacement board with no decline in quality/ability. Don't count on it being a drastic upgrade, but it will get your grill working again without paying OEM prices.

Installation of the new controller and thermocouples was straight forward and the price was right for what you get. We will see how well it hold up. However, there was one anomaly, they didn’t provide a hole to change the P values (speed up or slow down the auger, for changing seasonal temperatures), which was interesting as the push button for it was on the circuit board and in the same place as the stock controller. So after very carefully drilling a hole in line with the push button (and blowing out any metal chips) and installing everything. Fired up the grill and everything was working and using a toothpick to press the push button (through the new hole), low and behold, changing the P value worked as well. Not sure why they neglected to provide a hole?

I installed this controller on a Traeger Century 34. This controller is slightly different from the original. This controller has two food probe inputs. This controller came with two new food temp. probes, a grill temp. probe and what appears to be the "hot rod" for heating the pellets. The wires are color coded and match the Traeger controller wire colors. I needed to change one connector for this controller to work on my Traeger Century (see pics). I removed the connector from the original controller connector that goes to the auger motor. I did this by removing the pins from the connector with a pocket screw driver. I also removed the connector from the new controller for the auger. I then installed the wires from the new controller to the original connector. There are youtube videos on how to remove wire pins from connectors. I just carefully depressed the tangs on the pins with the screwdriver to remove. Then I slightly bent them back out so they would lock when pushed into the connector. I only used the controller and food probes. I did not use the grill temp sensor probe or hot rod. I found the controller to maintain temps just as accurate as the original. I found the same results with the food probe temps. This controller also performed a proper shut down cycle. This controller was a fraction of the price of an original replacement part.

I replaced every wire on my Traeger grill and finally bought this product to finish the process. It turns on for a few minuted than it kills the power on the wall unit or burns the fuses. I have replaced the burner/wick twice as it sometimes causes this problem. It dies not keep temperature right. It goes up unstoppable when in smoke setting.

I got this as replacement for my husband's trager. Its a perfect match and it even comes with 2 extra temp probes. Having this handy just in case the other one goes out is great. definitely worth it to have an extra around.

I have an old Traeger that had no thermometer probes. This replacement was easy to install and works great. I can now monitor the temperature of my meats using the new probes!

The one I ordered was supposed to have two temperature probe ports, and two probes. All I got was the electronics with a single port, and no probes. I didn’t have time to return and get a new one, so I just decided to go for it and install this one. Functionally, it worked better than the one I replaced, and fit perfectly. It is able to control the temperature with much greater precision and maintain it. Usually within 3-5 degrees.
