Simple and effective! Does just what it should!

This is a good working product but use it carefully with compact flash cards. As there is not much depth to the pins, it is easy to put the card in at an angle which can bend the pins.

Bought this USB Card reader to transfer music into the Compact Flash Disk for a Honda CR-V. The Reader worked great, did what was written on the tin, until I plugged into my laptop, and the blue light did not come on. Tried it both with a Windows PC and a MacBook but no joy.Was on the verge of chucking it, when I decided to inform KiwiBird, just to register my displeasure, but the Customer Service personnel - Andy - replied stating that the will replace it, and I got a new one,2 days later.

this card reader support the 3 most widely used memory cards, it’s useful for me as i need to use all of these 3 types of card frequentlyanother reason i choose it because it doesn’t support unnecessary memory card types, so i believe it should work better on what it supportsthe card reader got detected and works as soon as i plug it to my pc, and it’s in usb 3.0 connectiontransfer speed is fast and it can read all 3 types of memory card (sd, micro sd, compact flash) properlyuntil one day, i insert my micro sd as usual, but eventually i found it does not stay where it should stop, and the card reader almost ate my sd card completely, and my card got stuck in the sloti spent quite sometime to get my sd card back and now every time when i insert my card, i have to pay special attention not to over insert my card into the card reader, that caused me much unnecessary worry and trouble

I download a lot of photos, sometimes whilst travelling, and this has proved perfect for me. It has a cover over the USB connection to prevent damage, and just plugs in directly to a USB port on a computer, it is small and I HATE unnecessary cables. I have downloaded 6000+ images since purchase with no problems.As to versatility, what do Amazon mean? It takes three types of card, most important to me is CF, as I use a DSLR, this is becoming harder to find as most people do their photography on phones (wish I could make calls on my camera), but surely SD, Micro SD and CF covers 99% of requirements. The only consideration I would have is the location of USB ports on your device, since with a card in it may "stick out" and prevent the use of another port if it is close.

This is our third copy of the Kiwibird universal card reader. It works perfectly, but you must be very careful when using the CF card slot, as the pins break easily.

good product. Well built. Very good for adding all of your camera footage, from drones to SD cards and SCFD's. The only issue is when you decide to get your SCDF into the kiwibird, you must take care and be carefull to put it in slowly, so as not to bend the pins. Apart from that, a great product.

Does the job at a reasonable price.
