A little snug...
I am size 5 and ordered small, and then found the sock too snug at the toe.So I cut the toe off, which hasn't affected the rest of the sock.As previous reviewers have said, the strap holding your toes is over long. However, with a little experimentation I was able to adjust the fitting of the whole thing to hold my foot in a raised position to help my plantar fasciitis. When you're putting it on with your foot on the floor, it doesn't seem to lift your toes at all - but once you're horizontal, you can see that the toes on one foot remain raised, whilst the other without the sock relaxes into an almost 'toes pointed' position. Doesn't seem necessary to use the strap to 'haul' your foot into an unnatural position. Slightly raised toes, and stretched foot, is sufficient.I find the sock comfortable in bed, it doesn't affect my sleeping at all, and the pain on rising is much reduced. Not the greatest bit of kit in the world in terms of construction, but it does seem to work for me.

Not much support and quite uncomfortable
I didn't find this product useful for my PF, which I have had for about eight weeks in one foot.I found that it didn't actually stretch the PF tendon very much. I tied up the velcro strap at the front which gave it a tighter stretch but then I found that it squeezed my toes together, which hurt after a few hours.Didn't work at all for me but I'm leaving three stars because it isn't badly made and judging by some other reviews, works well for some people.

Wouldn't buy again, useless for me.
To start of with it seems reasonable quality when you bring it out the packet, for the price I was quite impressed. It is easy to put on. For the first couple of nights it did feel like it was holding my feet in a better position but to achieve that I had to pull the strap so the bate minimum of Velcro was attached to the other opposing Velcro piece .That's where the positives end.It was awfully hot and sweaty even with a thin pair if socks in so your feet weren't in direct contact with the "sock".My toes quickly went numb.I persevered with it thinking I would get used to it but within days the strapping had stretched. It still holds the foot at a better angle than using nothing but not enough to make a difference. The sock is already looking worn, the stitching is coming apart and my toes continue to feel numb.I think I'll be looking at a proper splint to replace this as I did feel a bit better with my heel for the first 2 days. This design needs alot of improvement to be effective.

Over two years of pain sorted in a few weeks after using this!
I've had plantar faciatis for over two years now and it had really begun to effect my life. Stopping me from doing many of the everyday things that we take for granted.I was advised by a neighbour that they had been using this product for about a month as they had also been suffering for years. Not long afterwards they had been cured. I thought, nothing to lose and got myself one.I've had mine about two months and at first kept forgetting to use it. Eventually I started to wear it every night for a month and the pain has all but gone!I'm made up with this product as it has allowed me to walk properly again and not suffer the agonising pain caused by plantar faciatis. The only thing I would say is, don't pull the toe Velcro to much as it may split/pull away from the sock. Other than that I would say you need to try this if suffering with plantar faciatis.

Effective but...
From the first night I wore this sock it helped relieve the heel pain, along with orthodontic innersoles. However the velcro strap is too long and I have used safety pins to shorten it. (I am a size 6 and bought size 4-6). The concept works well for P.F but the enclosed sock makes your foot warm and I would look at toe- less options if I was buying again.

Really helps with plantar fasciitis
This is brilliant. When I wear it at night it almost takes the pain away totally in the morning. I can get up and start walking rather than hobbling to the bathroom! It has taken a bit of time to get used to putting it on and off without unstrapping the whole lot and it is a bit awkward getting everything tight enough.I brought at 9-11 as others had suggested getting a larger size however this means that the strap that pulls up the toes has to be set at its very tightest and the rest of the Velcro hangs over your toes getting caught on the blankets all night.Although I love it I can see it being needed to be replaced in a few months due to stretching.

Firstly - the product is great. But this one and don't waste your money ...
I'm writing a review. I don't usually do this...so...Firstly - the product is great. But this one and don't waste your money on the boots and strapped splints - they area waste of time and money, but these socks have helped tremendously.Secondly, I'm writing this review having received the politest and nicest request by email from this company. I should mention that I have received other emails from them too after my purchase...but rather surprisingly in this day and age, these emails were to offer further advice and support. I couldn't believe how amazing this after service was! One email contained detailed exercises, well explained, that could help further. This kind of customer service is not only rare but an example to other companies out there. So yes, I am writing a review - with sincere and genuine appreciation for the service received. Buy with absolute confidence.

My chiropodist's advice is that if it feels better in the morning
I found this sock much more effective for plantar fasciitis than heel supports which didn't improve the pain at all. Fitting the sock took a little getting used to, but it has made a tremendous improvement after wearing it at night for a week. It didn't disrupt my sleep and I was hardly aware of it. I also stretch the plantar fascia by standing with toes on a step and stretching up and down for 10 seconds and a few times. My chiropodist's advice is that if it feels better in the morning, whatever I'm doing is working and should be continued. The sock is machine wasable. I'm going to buy a spare sock.
