Great value and very neat
I have used one of the Tens machines before and a small tens pen for emergencies when out and about years ago for my back. You name it, Ive got it. Scoliosis, ankylosing spondyltis, sciatica, all conspiring to make my life miserable. The thing with tens machines is the elecctrical pulse feels very similar to sciatic spasms but not as painful, so it is tempting to associate the two but the pain is significantly lessened if you leave it on for long enough.Trouble recently with my knees swollen with arthritis and then pain from what feels like strained tendons means that I am having terrible trouble walking and climbing up stairs is well nightmare impossible without hauling myself along up the bannister. So, I wanted a small unit to attach to my knee and the lack of trailng wires makes this perfect. It is a tiny machine using a DC 3V battery which you attach to a dual pad, they are not separate, by squeezing the two prongs into the holes in the pad. Then you push the right side button to turn it on, and then use both the right and centre buttons to select mode, the strength and frequency of pulses, which last thirty minutes and then it turns itself off and you have to reset. Its fiddly to persuade it to get going at times and the thing often seems to have a mind of its own, but for this price and the neatness of the unit it isnt too hard to just stick with it and be tolerant of its minor failings. I place it in various around my knee area, although I cannot seem to get it to work behind my knee where the worst pain is cantred, but it has reduced my pain although forcing my knee to bear weight is going to take a while longer obviously. Anyone who's has lived with constant pain knows how you quickly you try to wean yourself off painkillers and Diazepam. The first can make a total mess of your stomach and the second although they do a great job of relaxing your muscles that become clenched up with pain leave you living but half a life and spaced out most of the time. Any physical rather than medicinal treatments are a blessing, although I still use anti inflammatory creams and gels directly on the site of the pain but they often arent enough to take away the pain entirely. These really are neat ne effective, but the truth is that worn on my knee, every single time I have stood up and walked around wearing this, when I have returned the Tens machine has bern mssing, having fallen away from the pad and dropped down my trouser leg. I have then had to retrace my steps to find it, and being such a tiny thing that hasn't been as esy as one would think every time. This of course is the whole purpose of its size and lack of wires, but, I have now to remove it every time i do as little as visit the bathroom. Right now, Im assuming it must have been kicked out of the way and out of sight where I cannot find it. Maybe a strap to secure itbwould help? But this is a brilliant little gadget let down by one small flaw.

Good for lower back and neck
I bought this to help with lower back pain and neck discomfort and to see whether it would also help with my IBS pains. I've waited a while to review it as I wanted to have a chance to really see how effective I thought it was before doing so.I love how discreet it is- it's very easy to wear under clothing and noone would know it was there. You can also put it virtually anywhere (within reason!!)It's very easy to use and comes in a handy box to store it in to prevent the pads getting dusty and stopping them from sticking to the skin. The only down side is that you do have to replace the pads fairly regularly.I have found overall it has relieved some of my back and neck pain however for me it didnt help with stomach pain from IBS. Still i'd recommend it and dont regret buying it.

Nature's Gate Mini Tens
This product is truly wonderful. I bought my husband a more expensive Tens with wires and this for myself. Well this unit has won hands down. It is light, small and you can wear it whenever as it is great to use under clothing. Having continuous pain for 32 years I did not realise how tense I had been with the pain. My body is now relaxing for the first time and it is wonderful. Wish I had discovered this much earlier and had better quality of life for longer. The programming on these machines looks complicated but you can just switch this on, raise it to the desired level and it switches off after about 1/2 an hour. If that is not enough you can just repeat the process. Simple!

Fiddly but effective ..
being disabled I found this product very fiddly yo set up and use . Plus it easily falls off . But once you get used to it I found it very effective for chronic pain. It doesn't take away the pain but it's certainly less. The adhesive pads need to be replaced regularly and sometimes doesn't stick .

Wireless is the way to go
If you have pain and you want to reduct your reliance on medication or support this then this easy wireless TENS machine is the product for you. It is discreet and powerful with lots of settings to treat your pain and give you pain relief. I've used it mainly on my back and neck and the cycle lasts for about 30 minutes and gives significant relief instantly. The machine is about 2 inches and has 2 holes on the back which attaches to the pins on the TENS pads. The machine I have put on at the beginning of the day in the small of my back and discreetly switched it on without anyone in the office being aware i'm being shocked! Depending how long you have the machine on obvious depends on the battery life but I bought the batteries with it and extra pads as I knew I needed to have intensive use to begin with. I only wished I'd bought this for my labour as the tangling of the wires was a bit of a pain this would have been a much better options. This is a fantastic TENS machine for the price. The 5 stars are deserved for cost and power.
