Does exactly what says!
Couldn't wait to have a play with this cutter after seeing several reviews and forums about it. It was a good price and arrived earlier than expected. It does give a list of other equipment you need. I found watching the recommended video useful and also the step by step instructions on the back . I was pleased with the first attempts and how easy it was to produce a lovely decoration for a celebration cake or cupcakes! Great piece of equipment to have.

Mixed review
I am a complete novice to cake decorating, but decided to buy this anyway. I would have to say my first five attempts were very frustrating and looked more like pineapples than roses! I am also very inpatient in terms of trying to learn a new skill; not a great trait I think in cake decorating. I think I was at the point of discarding this in the bin. However a bit of the old determination kicked in, and I watched the YouTube clip on there by the lady that invented it. I could see pretty quickly that one of the steps I was doing wrong. So I have tackled it again his morning, after having rolled all my initial roses back up in a ball, storing them in clingfilm, so I could use the sugar paste again. I have two efforts now that definitely at least resemble roses! I think it is just one of those things you just have to keep practicing, and it comes far more easily to some than others ( and I'm of the ones that will struggle! I have slightly marked this product down, simply because it didn't feel like the easiest roses ever to make, but I would concede that practice makes perfect. Some really good reviews on here, including photos, so even the doubters among us can see that potentially this is a good product. So just persevere, watch the YouTube clip at least twice, and next year we will all be on the Bake Off! I am glad that I purchased this product.

Brilliant piece of equipment...
I bought this item as Im new to sugar craft and had seen it on YouTube and looked easy to use. It really is simple and makes the most amazing roses. Even my husband couldn't believe how quick and simple it was.

Fantastic product, Very easy to use.
I was very sceptical about this, I didn't think it could be as easy to use as it described but I was totally thrilled with the results. The picture attached was my very first attempt using it.

versatile product
this is a quick and easy way to make small and medium size roses that you want to attach directly to a cake or cupcake. I used modelling paste made by kneading in a small amount of CMC (tylose) powder to fondant sugarpaste and then making varying colours and shades of one colour with gel paste. Using graduating shades of modelling paste enables an ombre effect rose. This cutter can also be used to make open petal flowers such as primrose by cutting the rolled out template into individual petals and attaching 5 with edible glue. Make stamens by attaching small balls of fondant to the centre of each flower .

Not the greatest
This makes really simple roses. They don’t look realistic bit great idea if you have lots of them too make. I chose not to use them in the end and used individual rose cutters.

Good but you need the mat to have a proper rose
It is kind of easy to make however I would suggest for people to use like a fondant may or pad. As it hard to make without proper equipment as it sticks to the surface.

Sometimes it feels like you could use three hands to roll and shape ...
I had my reservations about this product, 'it couldn't be that easy' etc etc, but honestly it is! Sometimes it feels like you could use three hands to roll and shape at the same time but with a bit of persistence and practise it gets easier. There are instructions on the packet itself too which helps. Use a little CMC to help stop the petals cracking.

Works As Intended
I made a lot of fondant roses using this cutter for wedding cake. It was fast and easy. Please take the extra step and run your ball tool over the edges to ruffle and thin them for more realistic looking roses. Easy to clean, light, but sturdy and simple to use. I bought this thing 7 years ago and it's still in good shape and providing several uses. Only tip I really have its to roll your fondant thin and to thin the middle even more because you fold the shap up and roll it to form the rose and you'll have a lot of bulk to deal with when attaching them to a cake. The bottom of the finished rose is flat but you can work with it.

Super einfach und macht echt was her!
Vielen Dank!
