I have used Squalane for a week and unfortunately discovered that it has been the cause of new breakouts of my face. Further research led me to the discovery that certain types of skin are simply more sensitive to the ingredient. I would recommend patch testing with this.I applied it at night, and I can vouch for its moisturizing power, as my skin was fairly hydrated the following morning. However, I personally did not like the consistency of this. It does not absorb completely, rather it has a tendency to sit on the skin, as noted by other reviewers. I have repurposed it for lip hydration but will altogether avoid application on the rest of my face.
