Cheap and effective.
They do exactly what they say on the tin, perfect for the price. I use them when carrying things on my roof rack which they are more than adequate for.

Utter trash
These things are possibly the most flimsy tools i have ever used. The ratchet mechanisms are more or less made of tin foil... For the price i was not expecting to tie down truck loads, but honestly i could break these with my bare hands - one of them had been bent in the box during transport, and a second one broke as soon as i tried to use it.Shortly after buying these i purchased a different set from Amazon (search "2 Pack Heavy Duty 1 inch x 15 ft Ratchet Tie Down Straps"). They are more expensive, but at £6.75 for two will hardly break the bank, and it terms of quality they are genuinely in a different class. Spend a little more, because if you buy these you may as well flush your money down the toilet.

They the ratchets are cheap but if handled carefully they are fine for light duties
I needed these for a very light duty job of holding down a tarpaulin. They the ratchets are cheap but if handled carefully they are fine for light duties, the straps are pretty rubbish but again fine for light duties. Cost less than a fiver for 4, good for the price but be warned they are not strong!

Ok but cheaply made
Worked well when I moved house but one has broke and the others aren't far away. One of the springs fell out during the first use and now I can't use that strap. They do the job but have to be careful as they seem to be cheaply made

Not UV proof, occasional light load use they should be good.
These straps may be good in certain scenarios, but if like me you want it to secure something down for long periods in the sun they will not last more than a few weeks. I wanted something cheap to help hold down a small garden poly tunnel/tomato house for the summer against over zealous winds, they didn't last for very long strength at first good but the UV just turned them extremely brittle before just parting ways. Next year will look around again.
