You will need to immerse yourself in the role of the Angel and even customise your character before you begin to play, you will need to ensure that you are interacting with everyone and defeating enemies to gain the knowledge and ability to get back to your kingdom. Your will embark on an epic adventure protecting your mortal town participating in turn based battles against evil enemies notably the slimes. Features Dragon Quest IX is a fully immersive role play adventure, with a strong storyline. You will really need to get in to character in this game as you customise your character using a wide variety of pre-set features to produce your own unique Angel, hair & eye colour clothes and many more features. The story for this game involves an array battling in an attempt to protect your village and gain ‘star auras’. The battling mode in Dragon Quest IX will allow you to attack, defend, cast a spell use items or flee but in addition to these features you may, use a ‘combo system’ where you can chain consecutive regular attacks on an enemy, each attack sees a cumulative multiplier applied to it. Battles are essential to acquire experience points, which allow you to improve your character’s skill’s and strength’s. Furthermore battles will allow you to collect items as well as money to buy better equipment. Battles are a necessity to progress in this game so it is important that you hone your skills and acquire experience points to develop your battling abilities. Each character will will have 12 attributes which will influence your efficiency to battle: Power, Speed, Defence, Dexterity, Charm, Recovery magic, Attack Magic, Max HP (Hit Points), Max MP (magic points), Attack strength, Defence strength and stylishness Dragon Quest IX will offer single player as well as 4 player co-operative multiplayer you can link with fiends to help one player in there game, battle alongside friends or help them progress.
