Ronseal 36547 Smooth Finish Filler Multi-Purpose Ready Mixed 2.2kg , Grey

I got this as I'm currently decorating and need to fill in the holes left by the previous owners shelves and knickknacks. I need to do all this at a fairly quick pace so wanted something quick drying and that would leave a smooth surface pretty easily for repapering. There aren't enough rooms for us to have one lying empty for a few days drying out.This seems really wet when you first open it, like half melted ice cream - I was dubious as to it's drying time but it went on great and was dry enough to rub down in a couple of hours, just like it says on the tub. I knocked off the loose bits from the holes, stuffed a bit in with the applicator and got on with other work for two hours, when I got back it was dry enough to sand. It sands down super easily unlike a lot of others and you can always double check to see if it stuck well and fill it with more if necessary.I got it wall smooth in second with a bit of low grit sandpaper, very easy and left a very smooth finish so you can only tell by the colour where it is. great for wallpapering over and also great if you're only planning to use paint. Of course I'm cautious and will wait a few weeks before trying to drill into it but it really did seem to dry fast and set hard, at least on the surface.If you aren't a great plasterer this is really good for those screw and rawl plug holes you find all over. The applicator is good enough for them or use can use a credit card for larger holes - just as good really. This tub is big enough for the seeming dozens of little holes in my walls and will leave a smooth wallpaper with no obvious bumps. It hasn't expanded any since I used it and sanded it so will be ready to paper over tonight. great stuff.

The product is good !On the other hand who ever packed and despatched this needs to pack it a whole lot better !! 1 Tub with a little bubble wrap a box 4 times its size and a tiny bit of paper that was meant to stop it moving, did not do the job .The tub and box got dropped obviously at despatch and the pot was broken and some of the content in the box was rock hard !!Fantastic product for ease of use and spread .Value for money too .

The filler was good, nice coverage and easy to use. The problem was the tub was split open in transit, some of the contents were in the plastic bag covering the tub. As not all of it was used l guess the rest will just harden.

Easy to apply. Stays workable for good amount of time. Gives you enough time to manipulate how you want. Still takes some doing getting it perfectly smooth as Im no plasterer but once its dry a bit of sandpaper finishes it off.

Ordered this specific listed item (not the tubs with 50% extra) because I needed it next day. I have used the Ronseal multi-finish filler before and it was easy to use, tidy, quick. It was easy to trowel, smooth and sand and leaves a nice finish. It was because of this that I ended up emptying the first tub- I found it would be good to use for other patches around my home. I therefore required a new tub for the 2nd coat, hence the urgency.It arrived the next day, in usual Amazon cardboard boxes, which appeared perfectly fine and intact. I happened to have gloves on when I empties the box- normal papery packaging stuffed into a large box. I pulled the tub out, put it on the floor and discovered my gloves were now coated in the stuff. I checked the tub and there was a crack in the base, allowinf some of the product to leak out, but also allow some air in, which meant there were dry lumps in the ready-mix plaster. Not great.As there was some urgency, I used what I could reasonably salvage (just a few tiny gaps to finish). It SEEMS to have held up fine but only time will tell if it works long-term.It is a real shame about the plastic pot but the product itself is perfect for what I need it for.

Needed something ready-mixed and easy to use as we were having new flooring in the kitchen and knew there were some cracks and small holes that needed sorting. I don't know how this would be on deeper holes or cracks but we smoothed over about 10 or 12 small cracks and holes the night before the new flooring was put down and this stuff worked like a charm.

Received today, box was completely fine pphowever when I opened the box I could see the filler was leaking from the base of the tub, after cleaning the tub I found the base of the tub has a huge crack that goes half way around the bottom of the tub, haven’t used it yet but I expect most of it won’t be usable by the time I get around to opening it… won’t be ordering this online again I should of just went to a shop to buy it!

Have tried many different types of filler over the years and find this one has to be the best by a long way, very easy to apply and work with when sanding. Great value too on Amazon.

Esta masilla es muy suave de aplicar pero endurece muy rápidamente.La calidad es muy buena teniendo en cuenta que no hay que repasar una vez seca, a diferencia de otras marcas que cuando se rellena un boquete parecen mermar y hay que volver a aplicar el producto.Totalmente recomendada.

The media could not be loaded.  Ottimo prodotto, pastosità perfetta, buona adesività, facile da lisciare, rimane abbastanza liscio da richiedere solo una minima carteggiatura pur avendo una capacità coprente non indifferente, notevole direi! E' stato utilizzato per ovviare a grossi sbagli di intonacatura dei precedenti proprietari con buchi simili ai crateri lunari, ha ampiamente coperto anche superfici ragguardevoli. Prende benissimo anche su muri vecchi, costruiti in sabbia-malta, dove di solito i filler prendono poco e tendono a staccarsi. Ha un elevata elasticità, io con quello da 2.2 kg ho potuto stuccare grossi spazi su tre pareti, le cui condizioni le foto dimostrano. Consigliato.

La pedimos porque creíamos que sería de mejor calidad que la de la ferretería pero la verdad resultó dar unos resultados idénticos, sólo que un poquillo más cara. Quizás para un trabajo más profesional habría diferencia.Aún así contentos pues quedó todo perfectoComo pequeño contra el transporte. No sé si es culpa de Seur o de Amazon por no protegerlo bien pero el primer bote llego reventado.Como siempre atención al cliente de 10 y nos mandó un reemplazo
