I was so surprised
This is my first big slider and it is a reliable bit of tech, I was very surprised at just how smooth the motion was compared to a smaller is sized slider. This isn’t my first bit of neewer tech, I’ve had many neewer filters, timelapse 360 degree head, lighting etc. There price is very reasonable for the quality you receive when comparing with the more expensive brands like manfrotto and the likes.

Good slider for the price, but may need setting up
Good budget slider. I initially thought this was faulty as the base plate was wobbling on the tracks and the whole thing seemed loose. There's no instructions in the pack apart from a QR code to scan but that was pretty useless. Turns out the small allen key provided is needed to adjust the rollers on one side until they just pinch the rail, once this was done it worked great with no wobbles. a little dry lubricant may be a good idea in the long run too. Not sure if they're all like this but its worth noting and is an easy adjustment. One other thing is that mounting it on a tripod as in the pictures isn't very sturdy and it will droop as it gets to one end especially with heavier cameras and video head (which you will need), two tripods or light stands would be better .Overall a very good bit of kit for the money.

The Best Bang for your Buck for any Studio
So if your an avid YouTuber or maybe your the next Nick Park your Desk Top Studio is probably calling for a Slide to give you some sweeping angle shots and make movements a lot more fluid rather than dragging your DSLR across the table on a piece of string. So here we have Newer’s rendition that on paper and via its photos it looked very very impressive indeed anodised alloy legs, Carry Case, fluid bubble level so all sounds great. The box arrives and wow it’s huge the Unit isn't laser line perfect but Come One !! this is not £2000 so it does have quite a few nicks and dings in the metal, but I think that is just mass production what brings me back round are the gorgeous and appealing Red Anodised Legs the look fantastic and in any Studio they bring appeal. Now the main idea for a Camera Slider is that you have a platform to smoothly glide a 📷 Camera 🎥 Mounted on top now this the mount on has fixed plastic rollers that are used to roll it along the length of the metal step there must be some sort of bearing in there but no lubricant or Oiling it apparently (Probably a good thing no mess) it certainly is smooth and has a nice feel to it, you have a wheel to adjust the resistance all the way to fully lock it off to no movement. So if your planning on getting a Slider that is Bang for your buck then WOW wow WOW this is big looks fantastic on the studio worktop but whats great it all folds up and comes with a carry case so it can be stowed away after usage. So throw away that string and be the envy of all your other Studio Buddies :)Hey ! For a Budged Slider you can't go wrong!!!
The media could not be loaded. On a budget for a slider then this will get the job done for less than £60 it's not bad.80cm is more than enough for slider shots unless your going for big landscape shots.Include is the slider, two allen keys, extra pair of what i assume are rubber leg inserts and a screw bolt didn't need any of them as the slider comes fully built. Just unscrew the leg's set check your alignment and your good to go.Please note to get a pan shot while sliding you need a fluid/swivel head attachment which i highly recommended otherwise you will just be left to make sliding pan shots facing in the same direction a little movement in the slide can make the shot alot better.Due to the the size of the slider placing it ontop of one tripod can make it turn over. I used my light stands which have ¼ screw attached both of them to the slider and it worked out okay.Got some nice shots of Dolly Zoom's and some excellent pan's sliders do really add that cinematic precision effect.Overall if you're a content creator this is a must.

A couple design flaws, but it works.
I normally swear by neewer gear, but this has a few key design flaws that I had to personally fix to make it usable. Design flaws that feel like could be easy fixes. Firstly, the thread for the camera is glued and threaded into the plate on the slider, so just comes right out when you take your camera off. I’ve replaced this with a normal bolt and works fine. Also, the spirit level and pinch bolt are opposite sides, so if you want the lock bolt easily accessible, the spirit level will be under the lens, and vice verca. Other than that it does work so have it 3 stars, but a bit disappointed with neewer on this.

So much better than I was expecting!
Exactly what we were after. loads of different screw points to mount it in different ways. Super smooth rolling. Really high quality for the price. We did add an adjustable head to make it easier to control, but all previous statements still stand.

The one to get
Bough this to replace 400mm one (also Neewer). This one is so much better, as it's a lot smoother and sturdier. Construction is really nice, with milled aluminium legs that fold neatly. Not expensive for what it is, super light and not that cumbersome to carry (as carrying a long, relatively fragile piece of equipment gets).

Disappointing
I thought I would take a chance on this and in some respects it is well made with a decent case but just doesn't cut it. There is considerable play between the bearings and the track meaning the camera can wobble up and down on the vertical axis. There is no friction adjustment, just full off or full on. This might be better with a very light spray of WD40 but who knows. Sent it back.

Nice Budget Non-Motorized Slider
This non-motorized Neewer slider is surprisingly well designed and solidly constructed for a product so inexpensive. The legs are adjustable, allowing you to get a relatively stable footing on a variety of surfaces. The bearings allow for smooth movement of your camera. It is light enough to carry and easy to set up.You'll still need practice to get a good shot with this slider. Because it is neither computerized nor motorized, you are still moving the camera along the track. But with some skill, some practice and this slider, you should be able to get a decent shot.If you are a professional, or interested in those incredible slo-mo product shots, this is not the slider for you. However, if you are on a budget, but want to check what you can do with a slider, this Neewer slider is an inexpensive place to start.
