Works very well as anti-slug strip
So far this seems to have been 100% effective as slug and snail protection for plants. We have put circles of the tape around the tops of cardboard loo roll centres, and popped the centres over the top of small seedlings in the vegetable bed, pushing the bottom few mm into the soil. The cardboard supports and protects the seedlings from wind and birds, and the slugs are unable to climb up the cardboard any further than the copper tape ring, so they cannot get at the plant. For closely packed plants we have stuck the foil tape along 4 inch high cardboard strips (made from the Amazon delivery box!) and ringed the row of plants with the cardboard. You can use a stapling gun to join the cardboard strips, and the card lasts surprisingly well in the rain, provided that it can dry out between soakings.

OK for slugs - not snails
Definitely keeps small slugs at bay (been checking late evening and see the little devils just beneath the copper) but it does NOT stop snails which have been devouring my beans.

Works but tricky to apply nestly
Works to keep slugs off. But quite thin, difficult to handle.

Great tape
Have tried a few copper tapes, however this one, 1. Is a great price for the decent length (20m). 2. Applies well even to not perfectly cylindrical objects (It will crease up, however a firm rub round with a back of a spoon and/or microfibre cloth will flatten out any bumps and creases - you will end up with a few crack like formations but that just adds to the overall charm in my book.) 3. The removal of the backing paper is very easy, no scrabbling with fingernails. As you can see I've applied it to the top and middle bands on my big half barrel flower tub (Available on Amazon - It is plastic not wooden so the tape adheres very well). I think it looks good and hopefully will protect the plants I decide to pot up in it from nasty chomping slugs and snails.

Absolute rubbish for slugs
I have read the reviews mostly all good and thought i would give it a try, before wasting my time fitting this to the plant pots thought i would fit it first, i have many plants in my garden that the slugs love with a passion i went browsing through the undergrowth for as many slugs as i could find placed them on the garden path and with a bunch of there best appetizers set about releasing them, to make it a little more interesting i put about 5 strips of this copper foil across so as to make this as hard or easy possible, to put it simple i think it took them a little longer to pass over the foil as they were admiring themselves with the mirror effect....in short it did not work, rubbish, waste of money and its in the bin..... do not buy

Guitarists take note
I used this to shield the cavities in my Telecaster, & it works superbly. It is narrower than tapes meant for the purpose, but I'd seen on the internet that you were best getting copper tape meant for gardening as it's the same stuff, but they don't charge a premium for it. This was much cheaper than any tape sold for the purpose. The self-adhesive backing is fully electrically conductive, so no soldering to get it conducting from piece to piece. Being narrower I had to use more strips, but there was plenty to do my Tele, & probably a couple more too.Highly recommended for this purpose.I haven't got a garden so couldn't say how it is for slugs.

Good Value
I am using this product for crafting. It is excellent value for money. It has good adhesive properties but is very thin so not very robust - be careful or it will rip. That being said it is just the right quality for my purposes. I have used it as a finisher for some terracotta pots that I have covered in mosaic so has dual purpose - anti-slug and decorative!!
