Good anti inflammatory

An excellent product which works to help alleviate knee pain and many other benefits. The tablets are formulated and pressed to the highest standards and are not difficult to swallow in relation to their size. Read the instructions... for short term use only. Read up on bromelian before use.

I bought this as it was recommended to me to help reduce swelling after an operation. As I’m a bit of a planner I bought it a few weeks before in preparation to start taking on the day of discharge. Unfortunately I put it somewhere safe along with some other post operative bits I bought and I can’t for the life of me remember where I put them. On the plus side I didn’t have any of the anticipated swelling - I would have given 5 starts had I actually found them to work but feel it’s unfair to knock off more than one star when I’m the one who lost them.

I now take Bromelain regularly as part of a move away from prescription meds and towards natural remedies for various illnesses and these seem to be an excellent product and good value

I began taking this supplement for my joints, following the directions on the bottle. This happened to coincide with my period, which is very regular and usually lasts 4 days maximum. However, I continued spotting after the end of my period, and then started bleeding again, getting progressively heavier. There was no pain, I saw my doctor, but there were no apparent gynaecological problems that could explain why I was still bleeding after 18 days.I tried to figure out if I'd been doing anything differently, and the only thing I could think of was that I'd just started taking high-strength bromelain. After a little online research, it became apparent that one of the side effects (NOT listed on this product!) was that it can soften the womb lining and cause heavier periods due to it's powerful blood-thinning/anti-platelet effects in high doses. As soon as I stopped taking it, the bleeding stopped.There should be a warning on this product that it can cause heavier-than-usual periods, and increase the risk of bleeding in general (I would not, for example, take it before or after major surgery). Not a good idea to take this if you're pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or if you want to avoid heavy/extended periods in general!

I was concerned to buy a cheaper make but this product is absolutely brilliant and just as effective

too many additives, very bad.
