PHOTOTHERAPY WITH ULTRA VIOLET B LIGHT FOR ALOPECIA AREATA AND OTHER PROBLEMS WITH HAIRS. The use of phototherapy with ultraviolet B light has been explored as a treatment option for alopecia areata and has been reported to be useful in some patients. The use of UV light in this manner to treat disease is called phototherapy. With phototherapy, doctors apply the minimum amount of UV light to gain beneficial effects in treating skin disease while limiting the harmful effects. We add to the lamp tester MED (minimal erythemal dose), so you will be able to check it yourself, however we strongly recommend to consult your trichologist to prepare individual treatment plan for you. The lamp can be successfully used at home and in hair clinics as well. The lamp has mounted Philips 9W/01/2P UVB 311nm Narrowband bulb which is fully safe for health and does not cause any diseases. Here you can find Philips 9W/01/2P product leaflet: http://download.p4c.philips.com/lfb/f/fp-927901700121/fp-927901700121_pss_en_aa_001.pdf
