I got this for my recently fostered German Shepherd, Tipu Dog, in Goa, India. His nose was bitten off by a leopard 2 years ago and for 2 years he hasn't been able to breathe or smell through it. On 22 August 2015 he had an operation to give him a new nose. He has to wear an Elizabethan collar for 6 weeks, and have further procedures under anaesthetic every 2 or 3 days. So he needed a treat, particularly as he was shedding so much hair!You can tell the quality of this brush as soon as you take it out of the packaging. It is cleverly and thoughtfully designed and easy to use and clean. It removes all the loose hair from him and lightly trims his undercoat. His coat is so so healthy and shiny now - despite the stress of his operation, lengthy hospital stay and being confined for so many weeks.He loves his brushing sessions, and if he ever gets restless or frustrated by being kept inside for these few weeks, I start brushing him and he calms down. He doesn't like his tail being brushed or held when he is standing up, but I have found that if he is lying down he is fine with it. So I can brush his tail now too! He is now one of the healthiest and shiniest looking dogs around! I do not ever leave reviews but I feel I should share my experience after years of battling to keep on top of dogs moulting.I was skeptical of buying this brush as I have a long haired German Shepherd. His coat is the bane of my life! Hoovering more than once a day to keep my home clear from his shedding coat. I've used a desheding tool on his coat every summer which does help somewhat but I still was not happy with the cleaning constantly. After reading several reviews on this little tool I was willing to give it a try. Fairly costly for a small tool but worth its weight in gold to me!Upon receiving the package which was very well packed, I was more than a little a shocked at the size...... It is quite small, but within a few minutes I was astounded! Size in this case clearly does not matter!My dog now looks like like a new dog.... The undercoat came away so effortlessly and had no problem working through the denser areas of Sydney's coat. Approximately six carrier bags later of removed undercoat I can definitely say this little brush/tool had surpassed its expectations and earned a permanent place in my animal grooming kit.I also have a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a lhasa apso cross. They both bombarded me for a brush too. The ridgeback coat is a difficult coat to brush as it is very short and dense, the desheding tool has left his coat amazingly clean and soft and no longer losing needle like hairs that stick into my clothes.My Lhasa apso cross doesn't really as a rule moult very much at all but he gets a brush regularly to keep his coat shiny. When I used this desheding tool again it did not disappoint. His coat is like silk.Buy this tool, do not be put off by size and you'll be astounded at the difference. 👌🏻

My dog won't tolerate being groomed and the brushes I have bought haven't removed hardly any hair. This tool is amazing! Quickly removes excess hair and painlessly. With a few treats he will let me use it and he has his shiny coat back.
