Just what I was looking for!

Plus points! The board is solid and comes with a scraper. Downside. The 'super smooth surface for extra fine detail' actually works against the idea of making a mark, because it isn't a matte finish. There's no 'tooth' to the surface which means the scraper will often glide/slip along it rather than being able to remove the top black layer. Having to push harder to make a mark means that you are less likely to be able to make detailed marks.

Prompt delivery, well packed. This is the first time I have tried using scraperboard but after some practice I found it easy to use and a very attractive medium.

Llevaba mucho tiempo buscando este tipo de papel y sólo encontraba el que tiene colores debajo del negro.Éste es perfecto para hacer esgrafiados de calidad profesional. Gran idea incorporar el punzón. No es muy bueno pero para empezar perfecto.

Leider haben sich die Schabkartontafeln teilweise aneinander gerieben, so waren schon minimale Kratzer drin. auch die beiliegende Schabnadel ist eigentlich zu spitz/scharfkantig und gleitet nicht so gut. Aber für den normalen Schulgebrauch ist es vollkommen ausreichend.3 Sterne, weil insgesamt okay. Aber die Verpackung ist einfach ungünstig für das Produkt...

Premetto che avevo creato un solo lavoro con il scratchboard, ma era grandissimo ed è stato bellissimo! Meditativo e soddisfacente e questi scratchboards sono fatti molto bene ed hanno replicato la mia prima esperienza con essi!Mi piacerebbe vedessero scratchboards di grandi dimensioni come servirebbero a me, l'effetto di un lavoro grande rende tantissimo.Visto a distanza (dipende anche dalla tecnica che un artista usa) non sembra scratchboard...nel realismo la distanza dello spettatore per l'effetto "ma con quale materiale è stato dipinto??" si riduce!!! Ottimi!!

Nein, man kann nicht nur Tierporträts damit machen! Zwar verführt die Technik dazu, fellartige Strukturen zu schaffen, aber eigentlich möchte ich damit Effekte von Holzschnitt erreichen. Dieser und Linolschnitt verlangen aber, dass man mit der Rolle, mit Druckfarben und viel Platz wirtschaftet, und das ist in einer durchschnittlichen Wohnung nicht immer möglich. Dies ist quasi eine trockene Drucktechnik.Vorsichtig muss man mit Fettfingern sein. Denn wenn die schwarze Oberfläche davon berührt wird, gleitet das Kratzwerkzeug daran ab und verhindert das Abschaben. Was dann hilft, ist ein wenig Äthanol (reiner Alkohol), um die Oberfläche zu entfetten. Der mitgelieferte Kratzer ist gut für vielseitiges Arbeiten geeignet, er erlaubt feine Linien und auch flächiges Arbeiten. Ein solches Werkzeug ist auch in Linolschnitt-Sets enthalten. Von Dunkel ins Helle zu arbeiten ist eine schöne, inspirierende Herausforderung.
