Great fan for the price.
Great fan overall, I'd like it to be a tod quieter, but anyway it's much better than Corsair I used before. Don't get me wrong, it is quite quiet for the price and the air flow is decent. I expect it to last many years as other Noctua fans and coolers I have in my system.

FANtastic!
I was very reluctant to buy these as the cost for 2 is almost the cost of a set of 5 cheaper fans. However it's worth it. The air these can move with reasonable noise levels is great. While they are the cheaper version of Noctua's fans they are still excellent. As someone who hates noise, or rather inconsistent noises I will happily pay more to get a decent product. My PC used to annoy me now it's wisper quiet under load with good temperatures. I know you don't know the rest of my components but my PC is usually idling around 25c - 30c on a cooler day and in summer around 30c - 40c idling. I have the RPM of my case fans set to around 600rpm for the 3 Noctua fans I have and then 1000rpm for the case fans I already had (Some Phantek ones). I will say I don't let them get too high in RPM as the noise does get a bit annoying even for the legendary Noctua brand. However this might not even bother most people as I say I am sensitive to noise but I have also found there is not much point going really high RPM as you can only cool down your components so much with the room temperature what it is. I did some tests and found the right balance between cooling and noise levels and found that less RPM still gives the same temperatures so why go louder when you don't need to? Always be tweaking your setup, find what is right for you!

Met Expectations
I've been using it for about 3 years now. The device works pretty well, it's a great middle ground of airflow and silence at a very good price. More info: I would have liked if it was cloth sleeved, or at least sleeved all the way to the fan hub. Minimum fan speed ~600 RPM, Maximum fan speed ~1700 RPM. Closing Statements: All being said they're a great buy. I wish case manufacturers used these instead of the overly cheap e-waste you find in most budget cases.

High performance, low noise and a similarly low price.
Noctua's Redux series of fans are the same high quality, quiet fans as their most popular fans but without the sometimes unnecessary extras. In the rather sturdy box you will find the fan and some fan screws. That's all, no low noise adapter, no extension cable, no 4pin to molex adapter. Noctua have stripped out all of the extras to provide a high quality fan at a lower cost than their standard offerings. This is my 2nd fan in the same series and they're recently updated the design to include vibration damping rubber "shoulders" which should in theory reduce vibrations transmitted into the case which cause additional noise. I'll not add the fan specs here because thy're available elsewhere but suffice to say that the fans push a decent amount of air for the noise they make. When connected as a 4-pin pwn fan the speed can be finely controlled using software like Speedfan (almico.com) allowing you keep the fan at low speed until temperatues start to rise. At full speed the fans do create am audible whoosh but it's not an obnoxious noise and isn't noticeable above the noises of a game or movie. All-in-all I'd highly recommend this fan and can't think of a negative point to make for balance.

Probably the best value fans Noctua still sells
Yes, as some of the other reviews are stating, these are not absolutely the quietest fans you can but. They are of course going to be louder than a 120 mm fan. It's a 140 mm fan moving a lot more air... that's the whole point. There are undoubtedly some other 140 mm fans that will be quieter too; if you want cooling performance as good as this but with a bit less noise, you probably want to look at either an NF-A14 or NF-A15 depending on what you're using it for (NF-A14 for case fans, NF-A15 for coolers, but they're exactly the same performance specs in a differently shaped plastic frame). The A14/15 is both slightly more effective cooling and slightly quieter because it's basically the flagship 140 mm fan Noctua does just now and the redux is last-gen tech by definition. NF-P14r redux: 25.8 db/A noise | 133.7 m³/h airflow | 1.91 mm H2O static pressure NF-A15 HS-PWM: 24.6 db/A noise | 140.2 m³/h airflow | 2.08 mm H2O static pressure I've been using one of these as a case exhaust fan for years and recently switched it into the middle of my D14 cooler, replacing the NF-P14 FLX I had previously put there, and it slightly increased noise but noticeable improved my CPU temperatures both under load and at idle. I added a second one, replacing the stock P12 120 mm fan at the front of the cooler, and the same thing happened again, as expected. I've been buying Noctua stuff ever since the company first appeared back in 2005. Every fan I've switched or added into every system I've built (for myself and for others) for the past 15+ years has been some Noctua or another. I've also found their thermal paste to be very good. I have the distinct impression that this is a case of more or less getting what you pay for; if you want super-premium, buy their latest stuff. If you want *almost* the same kind of performance at the cost of slightly increased noise and a fairly significantly reduced price (and arguably slightly less pleasant aesthetics with this light grey colour scheme), buy a redux. That's pretty much all it comes down to.
