Tulip Tie Dye, Moody Blues, 3 Colors

This was super easy! I don't know why I never tried tie dying before. My only suggestion would be to limit the number of folds for thicker fabric, as I did have one shirt turn out only with tie dye at the bottom and none at the top, but it still looked cool. Also, if you plan on dying more than 3 items, you will need extra rubber bands. The rubber bands supplied are quite thin, and I found I got better results using thicker standard rubber bands. My other suggestion would also be to use different rubber gloves, as my finger tips did get stained slightly. However, after 2 showers it's virtually all gone. This kit says it will dye up to 6 shirts, I managed to get 5 items done - a vest, 2 t-shirts, a long sleeved t-shirt, and a thin cardigan. Not included in the directions, but something I remembered from camp is to put them in the washing machine, add white vinegar and run a rinse cycle in cold water before washing them. This will help to set the dye.Also just a note that the colour on the end is NOT purple, it's a navy blue. I was a little disappointed as I had wanted purple, but I was ok with blue.

I bought these for a 8 - 10 year old boys tie-dyeing party. They were easy to set up and use, especially with the help of the instructions provided. The results were amazing, with so many designs to choose from. The boys were very proud of themselves, and won't wear any other t-shirts now. Colours are still vibrant after several washes.

My 9 year old and I had lots of fun with this set, my only criticism is that it doesn't say how much fabric the dye will cover, we managed to dye three age 9-11 t-shirts but did have to water the dye down a bit towards the end to make it last (which obviously impacted on the vibrancy of the colour). On he whole good quality and lots of fun!

There was no saturation to the dye colours. They literally didn't show up and just washed away to a really faded colour. They were applied to bleached white cotton, so I really don't know what the issue was.

I bought this for my 11 year old. He used it to dye 2 t shirts and there was enough dye left for a third t shirt. My only suggestion is that you should iron the t shirts after dyeing them and before washing them to stop the colour running. Otherwise an excellent purchase and good value for money.

This worked! And it wasn't that messy as long as you were prepared in advance. We went outside. The gloves are essential - don't throw them away after putting the dye on. You need them to rinse the dye out. The colours were very impressive and my daughter (10) wants to do more.

Great, this worked super, kids loved helping me do them and we had some great designs. We did shirts and they havr been washed numberous time and still are as bright snd colourful as the day we did them.
