eGadget Universal Dashboard Sticky Pad Mount Holder for GPS Devices and Mobile Phones

Bought this for husband's Samsung Note 2 as it is a big phone and doesnt fit in the dash panel of his car when he needs to use the maps app, as other phones probably could....looked good and phn (in its case) fit well so had high hopes, but suddenly 10mins into the journey, when least expected, the phone literally just fell out - luckily I caught it in time... don't think he has used it since.On the bright side, it is still stuck to the dashboard, it hasn't fallen off or lost its stickiness as some reviewers have reported, although we haven't had a great deal of sunshine yet either, so time will tell!

Not as good as I thought. It does stick to the dashboard, but I'd doubt it would hold in a quick turn. My Tom Tom start has to be sort of shoved in, but it does stay upright. I put mine in wrong way about and it seems to stay upright, could be me putting it in the wrong way about in the first place. I saw one review that said the connection on the Tom Tom made it impossible to fit in to this model. Would have thought it was easier to remove the connection. It's ok and does the job.

Own a C3 Picasso, big problem with sat nav location as the windscreen is too far away from the driver. The dash top is not smooth, it's rippled. This device when placed on the top box lid on the dash, which is smooth but not glossy, stays in position and my Navman unit is held firmly. Even under heavy braking the mount does not move.It doesn't actually stick to the top box but the friction between the material used and the top box lid is sufficient to hold it.Good value for money and no marks on dash when removed.

I bought this item as I recently found an older sat nav which I hoped I can use in my truck and can no longer buy the original mounts.This item is well made and would easily hold sat navs as well as phones etc in landscape mode.One minor issue is however, my older sat nav (Garnin 660) is slightly too thick to sit in between it perfectly, so a bit of manoeuvring was needed. Does a perfect job now.

A bit soft to be honest. The idea is good but it doesn't hold my sat-nav as still as I would like. I altered it a bit and now it works fine.I pushed a metal rod down the centre stand for more support and stuck a clear gel furniture foot at either side back of the devices ends to also stop it wobbling.

Holds my 7in sat nav ok but found I had to use it back to front to fit the cut way in the top of my dash but works just as well, NO more telltell circles on the window, brill, stays in place 99% of the time just don't do emergency braking or FAST rough ground as your sat nav will move about.

This thing is great. I use it with a Garmin and it's almost perfect. I say almost as it has fallen out a couple of times when accelerating, but that's a combination of being on a slopped dash (yeah, thanks Ford!) so it's not leaning back (as in the pic) and the acceleration. The mat itself never moves and is very sturdy and does exactly what it says it does.

This kept sliding on dash, had to keep repositioning.
