Great tool
I've done a few rooms with crown molding that I painted white. Up to this point I've mitered the corners and caulked the joints. I started to install crown in the kitchen that I just remodelled, a lot more corners (inside and outside) than other rooms, going around cabinets, windows and down a hallway. Mitering just didn't seem to be working. Bought this coping jig and the first corner came out pretty good. I still caulked the joint, but didn't need nearly as much as mitered joints. It really helps if you use the suggested jigsaw blades, still need to nibble away at the compound curves but it leaves a clean edge.It may just be a couple of pieces of plastic, but it saves a lot of time and wasted crown molding!!

Good tool
This tool works great for coping basic style crown. But for real fancy molding I wouldn't bother with it. The jig saw blade is to wide for getting in those tight places. A standard old coping saw works better. On the real fancy stuff we always miter our inside cornrers anyways. You get a way better joint it just takes a little more effort figuring out the angle when your 90 degree corner is out of square. But if you are using an ogee style or real basic crown this tool works great and fast. The last job I did was about 800 lin ft of 4.25 ogee crown and this tool probably shaved off an hour of time from coping by hand.

Great time saver for an amateur and great customer service
Bought this after having trouble trying to cope some crown molding for the first time. The EasyCoper gave me a solid piece to run my jigsaw on and every cope I made after a few practice pieces was perfect! I had some issues early on and called the number on the packaging and actually spoke to the owner who invented the EasyCoper on a Saturday afternoon. He was nice enough to talk to me about the issue and call me back after I emailed him a few pictures of the issue I was having. That's great customer service to go with a great product.

Good for the price
I bought this as I didn't want to spend 100-plus on other models as I rarely do crown. Definitely makes coping easier, though mine was a bit warped-I'd worry about it in the hot sun....Also it is easily cut, which you will do sooner or later. I'm satisfied for the price but if I did only finish carpentry I would definitelyshell out the bucks for a nicer one.

I am a DIY'er but I enjoy crown molding and trim the best
I am a DIY'er but I enjoy crown molding and trim the best. I recently got this to use on my 6 1/4 inch molding. It worked very very well with a jigsaw. Couple of things to point out though - I bought the Bosch jig saw blades recommended by Amazon and they worked great BUT, the blades were just a tad bit long and went into the plastic where the molding sits on, not big deal but, it can make things tough to maneuver the blade when the profile changes. Overall - if you want to cope over miter, I highly recommend this - the majority of my copes came out absolutely perfect on a detailed piece of molding. Also, it takes off just the right amount on the back, which I have had trouble with a coping saw (manual).

Good idea, cheap product material
The product idea is great however when the item was received it came with a large fracture out of box, and upon examination of the fracture I realized that the jig is susceptible to further cracking due to the material composition of the jig , and it is for that reason why i rated this device at 1 star. It would not stand up to transportation from job site to garage, and for that reason I chose not to have it replaced but instead returned.

A good idea, poorly executed.
Bought these for my husband as a gift. The plastic is not straight, making them difficult to use and he broke one the second time he used it. He had to screw it back together with pieces to wood to make it flat and useable. Not even sure he will use them again.

Great coping tool
I am not very good at using a coping saw, so when I heard about the EasyCoper, I decided to give it a try. I had read many reviews where it was better to cope the inside corners rather than cutting 45 degree angles. I bought the recommended Bosch blades to use with my jig saw. I could not believe how easy it was to cope the molding using this EasyCoper. I even demonstrated it to someone to show them how easy it was and how good a job it did. I would definitely recommend the EasyCoper for anyone installing crown molding.
