It works!
It seems like no way this will work, or do anything but omgoodness it's magic. I suffer severe siatica and this is a god send, although a little fiddly to apply yourself it's brilliant. I suggest buy strong medical tape to use, instead silly little ones supplied. I use for few days n it eases the pain after too, until the next flare up. At the mement I have a bad knee, can't walk on it really well, painful it's 'wear n tear' apparently but this has helped so much, it has been on for five days, usually I only have on three, four days max for back. But now seems to be working and can be worn at night all day etc. I love can turn off when not needed, can be used with other medication but most of all it works! Definitely recommend. If unsure purchase trail one, only works for month once on n can't turn off, but it's with a try if not sure.

All you feel is - better!
Having Fibromyalgia (FM) and regularly suffering chronic pain, I've tried everything. I was recommended to buy one of these by a friend and very happy I did. Being sceptical, I wasn't expecting much but for certain areas of pain (neck, gluteus maximus, lumbar area) it has been excellent. Only negative is the fixing strips! I just don't use them any more - fed up with them coming unstuck and wrapping themselves around the product. For the back areas, I just pop the ActiPatch inside my pants and they keep it securely in place but, if you do this, DO remember it's there when you go to the loo, otherwise you will be continually fishing it out of the toilet bowl (Oops!). For the neck area, I use a safety pin around the Actipatch and attach it to my clothing (usually a shrug or housecoat - something with a high back collar) and this, too, keeps it securely in place. Amazingly, an hour on both areas usually does the trick. I have a Tens machine but this is far easier to use and works far better. As someone else said, "All you feel is - better." So, do yourself a favour and try this. You won't regret it. Amazing product!

GOOD WHEN WORKING
The item arrived on 6th February, earlier than expected. The first few days it was fine, and appeared to be giving pain relief as hoped for. Then it wouldn't turn on, then it did but after a few hours it started flashing and wouldn't turn off. It worked fine for a few days more, now as I write this it will not turn off again. It is 19th February, I have not used it 24/7 for 10 days, but even if I had I should have only used a max of 240 hours. Therefore I do not think it can be coming to the end of its life. I believe it is faulty and therefore needs to be replaced.

Absolutely Fantastic!
I purchased this for my wife, she was in extreme pain for over 8 weeks. Suspected prolapsed/herniated disc. Just waiting for the MRI results to confirm which. On the first day of application it didn't work as the miracle it has for some but in all fairness it is certainly something we would recommended to anyone. It arrived mid afternoon and was applied to the affected area immediately. By the evening the pain had eased slightly and as we went to bed my wife laid down and was shocked to not be feeling like she was being stabbed in the neck. That had completely gone. The first time in 8 weeks. As the week went on she wore this almost 24 hours a day only removing to take a bath or shower. She was on the maximum medication when this arrived, within 3 days she was no longer counting down the hours to the next lot of pains meds. Within a week the meds dropped by half and now 3 weeks on she is on meds now and again, although the problem is still there as she is having nerve issues in her arm.For the money it's worth every single penny. I am about to order another for when this battery runs out!

Has helped long-term back pain. May speed up recovery for short-term injury, but for either, don't expect sudden miracles.
I've used this product a number of times over a period of about a year for long-term chronic midline low back pain and also upper back pain (I don't have any neuralgia, e.g. sciatica nerve type pain) and I've found the Actipatch does help. I know it's not going to cure me, but it has reduced pain levels and allows me to that bit more. For me, it's not an instant relief either (takes a bit of time to work). Last year, wanting to get the most benefit from the device as quickly as possible, I started using it 24 hours a day for my low and upper back (using two of them) and what happened was that after a few days in both areas, I started to feel what I can describe as electric shocks every few minutes specifically in those areas where I had used the device (not particularly bad compared to my back pain, but uncomfortable and a bit disconcerting - the thought that went through my mind was 'are these going to ever stop?'). I didn't then use the Actipatch for a few days and the shocks stopped, which was a relief. A few months later, I started using the Actipatch again, but only for between 6 to 12 hours a day and I have had no more electrical shocks, whilst still feeling a benefit of having less pain. In a way, the electrical shocks were a sort of positive as it demonstrated to me even further that device was doing 'something'.For back pain, I tried the supplied band to hold it on to my back and found this a bit uncomfortable, especially at night. Instead, I buy the Actipatch with the 'plasters' included. The plasters are time consuming to tear open every day because of the way they are individually wrapped, also fiddly getting the last piece of backing off them. Also their plasters gum up the wires you're sticking them onto after a short while. Instead I use Micropore tape which is easy to tear off and doesn't gum up the wires quite as much. Still a bit of a problem sticking the device to my back and removing but I've still enough flexibility to reach round and do this. I've been informed by the company behind the device they have looked into this issue and later devices have a different type of plaster to address the above issue.
