Great solution for infection in any type of wound, never sticks. You will pay double the price on the high street.
This product is around ÂŁ25.00 for exactly the same amount and size eg 5cm x 5cm of 25 all individually sealed in the box if bought from Boots!!! Excellent value for money. The very flexible gauze is soaked in the healing solution but is not at all runny and stays in place on the gauze on removal from the sealed packaging. Great to keep in your medical supplies. Uses are endless. Put under a plaster for cuts and grazes, deep or superficial, prevents infection and promotes healing, pack around ingrowing toenails etc, in fact anything that could or is showing signs of infection on any part of the skin. These can be cut to any size and shape, they do tend to dry out quickly on the site of infection if not covered, but the brown povidone iodine on the gauze turns white when soaked into the skin meaning it needs changing. Feels as if it "pulls infection out", however does not sting at all but does a great job. Can be left on for as long as needed without causing any irritation or other soreness. Quite sticky which is good as they stay in place well wheather covered or not. Would definitely recommend. Bigger size is available at approx. 9cm x 9cm, all depends on the wound size needed to treat. Bonus is this product never sticks to the skin so as not to disturb any healing process.

Fit for purpose.
I have purchased this for my son's open wound. I was looking for something to help keeping the wound clean and sterile and this product did the work. Wound healed in no time. Highly recommended!

curious stuff
I got this because it's what the nurse at my doctor's surgery used to dress my burnt foot. I've been using it on my torn out toe nail because I'm diabetic and don't want to end up with amputations. So far so good. It's slightly tricky for me to use though. It's a very sticky brown bit of stiff gauze between two bit of plastic. The first side comes off ok. The second side proves quite tricky. Also despite it sticking to your fingers and anything else nearby...it doesn't helpfully stick to the wound while you try and organise your plaster or dressing to go on top.I cut the pieces up to fit and so I don't go bankrupt.I don't have gangrene yet so i guess they work.It soaks through a single plaster so you need some sterile gauze to sandwich in there too.

Perfect, without any sting
At first I was hesatant when buying these thinking that they would be painful to use beings they have iodine as the main active ingredient but to my surprise they weren't painful at all. I was using them due to removing my big toe nail so I had these to stop infection and to protect the nail bed.Eventhough I only changed the dressing every other day they didn't end up sticking to my toe which was a massive relief. The ones that I had had an expiry date of 2 years from purchase so that is good in my eyes, if I ever do the same injury again (which I am hoping that I wont) I would definitly buy these again

First aid box item
My GP surgery nurse gave me a couple of Inadine pads to go under dressings after I sustained a deep incision.I decided to buy a pack for my first aid box.NB, the nurse asked if I had any health issues with iodine, which I didn't.
