I NEVER write product reviews (well almost never) and nothing really impresses me but this product has. I have a 2 litre Diesel estate car and due to an electrical fault the larger than standard battery (i.e. I replaced it a year ago with a bigger version) was totally flat. Now this charging device arrived and I could not believe how small and light it was relative to the job that it had to perform but what do I know.....I connected it, turned the key, allowed the glow plugs to heat up and the dashboard light go out and turned the key. I was disappointed when all I heard was the clicking of the starter motor....you know...when there is not enough power in the battery. So I got out the manual and re-read it. There were a few words about the fact on some vehicles there are capacitors that initially need a charge in order for the car to then be able to start.....at this point I was a doubter. So I turned the key and the engine turned without even the slightest hint of there being insufficient power.......to say I was stunned was an understatement given the relative small size of the unit......especially compared with the lead acid battery that normally sits in the car that cost me more and can barely be lifted.This unit is really astonishing....no wonder electric cars have so much power these days. When I checked the charge it was still showing 4 lights (i.e. a full charge). When I plugged it into recharge it flash between 3 and 4 but I had just taken out a load of juice.In addition you can charge you electronic devices from the unit via the USB ports and it comes with a USB to 12V socket for a fridge, etc when you go camping, etc.Every car owner should have one of these. I am really impressed (not sure how long it will hold its charge but that is a totally different issue but given it is new it should be good for some time unlike second hand "refurbished" items).

When the item arrived a few months ago, my battery was already changed. I used it on a couple of occasions as a power bank while travelling and found it to be ok giving a slightly more than 2 full charges of iPhone before needing charge itself. My car battery went dead last night (left a light on) so I picked the device from the boot this morning after a full charge few months ago. It had nearly the same charge, and went on firing my 4.2 litre petrol engine instantly. No faffing and easy to use. This is brilliant and reassuring !!It feels sturdy, though a bit heavy, and the case is nice shape and size albeit the cable storage compartment is a bit of a squeeze.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to get you out of a car battery trouble no matter what engine size you have!

Unfortunately it did not work and drained very quickly.

The media could not be loaded.  I am a mechanic-hobbyist and I love fixing some old cars. I've tested about 20 car jump starters over the time and this one may be the best so far. It simply has a lot of features! It can jumpstart your car, charge various devices, it can be used a flashlight, it is well built, it has a huge battery capacity and it comes with a lot of accessories that are stored conveniently in a nice travel case. Had 2 of these and both have blown up

I bought it months ago for a Sprinter van with a battery that occasionally cuts out and has to be taken out and recharged. I hadn't had occasion to use it until last week when the van was struggling to start. I hooked it up to the battery, crossed my fingers and turned the key. Bang, it started first time without a problem. I had wondered whether this smallish box would be up to starting a big van, but it did. Now I'm a convert. With the starter in the van as back-up I don't worry about the battery not working in the middle of nowhere.

This is an excellent product that does exactly what it is claimed to do, and at an excellent price.It also comes supplied inside a sturdy carryingcase with all necessary fittings for charging it inside. I used it recently to start a diesel van with a flat battery which it did easily and without anyfuss,and it was still showing four blue lights which means it lost very little charge.
