10 x HEAVY DUTY 1 HOLE PICTURE HOOKS - HANG HEAVY PICTURES AND MIRRORS

I had a fairly big picture come crashing down using one of the 'heavy duty' plastic hardwall type picture hangers. After a £70 bill for a replacement frame I wanted something solid but without a screw sticking out of the wall.Although it is not seen day to day, it is still nice to have a proper hook rather than just a screw head in case of a knock and it popping off, especially if your pictures are dear to you - or just dear!Note that the tapered hole fits a smaller screw head, my preferred screw size for this sort of thing for example would be a 5x50mm (with a No.6 or No.8 rawlplug), and the head of this would stand proud. Not the end of the world as there is still clearance to get picture string/wire in and if anything it helps 'lock' it in a bit. If you want it flush you will be using No.4 screws I would think, but best to have a look when you get them against screws in your toolbox!All in all very happy with these for my larger pictures and medium mirrors; very solid and very neat and the string or rawlplug would fail before this hook would.

I bought these to hang a very heavy antique mirror onto a period farmhouse wall (i.e.. not flat and not overly robust walls). I had to adjust the wall quite considerably before I could use the hooks (the fault of the wall not the hooks), but with a block of wood and good cavity wall-plugs the mirror is up and is not going anywhere. The hooks themselves are very strong and of a nice thick material, so weight bearing will never be an issue and, although small and unobtrusive, the actual "bearing" surface of the hook is a good size and, of course, around the fixing point so weight is evenly distributed, making for a very secure fixing. Not expensive and I will certainly use for any heavy pictures etc. where the usual pin-type hook is not sufficient ... worth having a few of these spare, so the pack of ten a good idea!

Its great quality! Looks nice (brass finish), Low profile and counter sunk. I used 2 of these to mount a heavy mirror on a plastered brick wall.

Very decorative as hooks go and ideal for hanging mirrors, pictures and more around the home. Easy to install and holds a good amount of weighty objects.Very pleased and will use again. Highly recommended.

Used these to hang some heavy mirrors, only used 2 of these fixings per mirror and they are holding up strong as ever. Have been up well over a year now with no movement. Would recommend

These are strong picture hooks that can hold a heavy picture securely. Happy to recommend both them and the seller.A few years ago, I had two pictures framed and mounted and, when done, both were rather heavy. On collecting them, the framer asked how they were to be hung. As the house I was in at the time had picture rails, he recommended that two hangers were used as one just wouldn't be up to the job. Having since moved to a newer house where I wanted to mount these pictures on a plasterboard wall, I was looking for something rather more beefy than ordinary picture hooks to hang these heavy pictures from. These were just the ticket. They bind securely to the wall and using a pair of them for each of my rather heavy pictures gives a secure and effective support. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone looking for something to do a similar job.

Have used these before to hang heavy (and light) items. Best I have ever used. Very neat with small footprint but because of the "washer" design it gives a lot of friction area and even if used with a fairly small screw the "shear" strength is quite amazing. If a longer, larger diameter screw is used you can be pretty confident almost anything will hang off of these.

It appears sturdy but my only criticism is that the centre hole is probably only big enough for a size 5 screw and the rebate on the hole isn't wide enough to fit the screwhead flush. It's only a minor issue other wise they are doing the job they were made for.
