MAOZUA Latest V8.1 Creator C310+ Airbag/ABS/SRS Diagnostic Scan Tool BM Code Reader Clear Adaptation Engine Oil Reset Function (ONLY Compatible with BM cars)

I bought this based on the positive feedback here and comments from other users on the web. The software (Windows PC) installed quickly and I was able to immediately download the latest firmware from the creator website (ver. 6.1 for the C310). This installed to the device in a few minutes over the USB lead supplied.Used with a BMW E87 model to check for ABS/DTC faults. The device is very robustly made and the item I received has cable stress supports at the reader and OBD plug and is moulded from quality plastic components. The display is clear to read and the controls easy to operate, usually just a forward and back button. It allows you to read error and rest (trouble) codes from all the car systems and to view data from the multitude of sensors on the car including graphs of various performance details. I used the graph to read the ABS/DTC wheel speeds to verify their operation. Be aware that if previous error codes that have been repaired, have not been cleared from the system you will need to reset these. If there is an ongoing fault, the reset process will confirm that too.A brilliant piece of equipment that will allow even a novice user to check any faults on their car and avoid the worry that a corrupt repairer is doing unnecessary work.

I couldn't fault the equipment in any way given that I had bought a similar but cheaper piece, previously which was nothing compared considering the amount of hours I expended in downloading and setting up the thing. This was hassle free, fitted straight into my BMW E60 (525 i) without any qualms or problems whatsoever. I found the instructions in the manual an easy read and precise. Not to mention that I received further instructional troubleshooting document and contacts from the seller company after my purchase, just in case I have any trouble using the equipment (A testament of good quality, after sales service worthy of an extra star in my opinion).In terms of the equipment itself there was no need to download or install any software on your computer as it is a plug and play equipment ready to be used straight from opening it from the package. The only time you would need to install is if you need to update the equipment, in which there is a small CD included in the package for that purpose. It is a simple uncomplicated installation that does not take up large memory space on your computer but because mine was already updated from the seller or factory there was no need to update (no matter how much I tried).Upon using it on my BMW E60, I was able to diagnose the transmission fault appearing on my dash to a selector switch which has since been replaced at my local mechanic for a few hundred pounds both parts and labour as opposed to changing the whole gearbox for a few thousand pounds. Creator C310 does deliver a lot in terms of diagnosing and identifying your car's problem and giving you the code for you to google their meaning. Thus making you an informed owner even before you've stepped out of your house and in the long run saving you some money by identifying the unscrupulous mechanic on whom to entrust your car based on what they are saying and charging you.It is very portable and easy to carry around in your car boot should you need it in an emergency situation. It's a product I would recommend and buy again should the current one breakdown in future.

I'm a bit handy with fixing my cars, but the more computers they get, the more difficult some faults become to diagnose. A simple engine warning light which told me nothing specific on my current BMW E39 lead to an almost three figure quote from my local BMW workshop just for them to plug the car in and read the error codes. Forget it, for half of that I'll read them myself with this!Live data ok, error codes read and cleared fine once I'd remedied the problem. Only thing I don't like are the keys. Layout of the up down left and right buttons is a bit daft, and the buttons aren't very responsive. Once you get used to that though, great bit of kit, keep it in the glove box always now!

OK, so I had this for a week while I was waiting for the 20 pin adapter for my 2000 E39. Well, I did a first use and it detected a large number of codes and even told me a brief description of what the code meant too. Very very useful, also allowed me to clear some error codes which were no longer valid as the car had had some repairs, all in all, great value for money, does what I want.I nearly only gave it a "4 stars" because I had some trouble updating it. The problem is I have all Windows 10 machines, and while the update software works, the device connected to the USB just wouldn't be detected. Fortunately I had a netbook still running Windows 7, installed the software on there and after 3 attempts of trying to put the 5.5 update on the C310, it finally worked! So please persevere, it does eventually work, although it still reported that the update failed right at the end of the third attempt, but the unit is working. On previous attempts the unit was blasted and wouldn't even come on because the main part of the software kept failing update. So, happily the unit finally started working again!All in all for the money it does what I need, even reset my Oil Service lights which the last mechanic failed to do when the Oil was changed!Glad I got this, will come in useful, and has already identified a couple of things that I can fix myself, so saving me money! Also, it costs about £50 to take the car for a diagnostic check at a BMW dealer on even a local mechanic, so all in all I've already saved £££s just by buying this!The support seems to be OK, although it is in broken English, even the website for the updates! But all in all it is a good buy. I am very pleased!
