Will this work for my cctv as the Yale mouse has broken.

If your old mouse uses the USB fitting, then I don't see why this one wouldn't work. You need to check what the end of the wire has.

Im just wondering is the scroll suppose to make a clicking sound when scrolling forward? It doesnt do it when i scroll backwards though

Mine doesn't make a clicking noise but you can feel it move as if the wheel is notched when scrolling both forward and backwards. It doesn't detract from the overall performance though. Just as an aside I use this one for CCTV but the one I use for my computer, which is a different make, has always made a clicking noise on both forwards and backwards scroll, but has done so for 10 years or more without any problem.
