ESV B-Ionic Calcium Buffer System, 2-part Calcium and Alkalinity Maintenance Kit for Salt Water Coral Reef Aquarium, 2-Gallon

I have been using ESV for over a year now, and have been very happy with this buffer!The product arrives as a concentrate, that requires you to add RO water to the solution, which is very simple and only helps with shipping costs. The supplements are clean and clear, not cloudy or any floating particulates. And once I figured out my depletion of Ca and Alk, it was very easy to figure out how much to dose a day to keep my levels in check!I have no cons with this product at all, and plan to continue using it into the future!

So it was a little fun getting it to mix, but with some warm water, it took no time.Super easy to dial in how much your tank needs daily. Without dosing daily it's a little difficult. Not unachievable, just a little harder to dial in the correct dose.I was a huge believer in real ocean water water changes, but when the company I bought mine from changed the filter method and started adding synthetic, I changed after noticing the difference. So I went with Kent first, then secheam. Both are ok products but harder to dose on a daily basis. Easy to use when correcting either cal or alk, but daily dosing wasn't much fun. Next I tried bulkreef. This was much more to my liking but lacked the minor trace elements. Then I discovered esv!!!!! My corals started gaining colors that I hadn't seen since I used real ocean water to do my water changes with to replace my elements. It was so nice adding a dosing pump to dose esv for me. And after about three weeks on my tank, I achieved ionic balance. Now my buddy's tank, it took about 2 months to dial in. (He dosed mon-fri when he was in his office) I would test his water weekly and make adjustments accordingly, but took longer to make up for the two day gap in dosing. Took a while to get it right, but never could achieve ionic balance till he got a doser.So yes I absolutely recommend esv

Very easy to dose and monitor levels!! Great value- is never use anything else!

This product I love brings brighter and more vibrant colors on your corals. It's not just a 2 part it also has major and minor trace elements in it that is a big plus for me

Order 1 gallon of this stuff and the bottles were half empty. The bottles were also not sealed at all. The plastic bag they were wrapped in were dry. No sign of leaks.

Use this product for years - very good, keeps my levels at where they should be but you have to test until you get the right amounts for your particular tank set up. Would highly recommend.

Just a word of advice to new reef keepers. I have found that changing 2 Part or Salt brands in an established tank can sometimes cause serious problems. While I Love ESV 2 Part I am getting very frustrated with their supply issues during 2020 and now into 2021. I wish I had been using another brand that has a more reliable supply chain. For now it's watch and see but if this dos not get better I may have to take my chances and try something else.

Good product but $54 dollars for a $38 product. Overpriced
