This is an extremely useful ruler and uae it to add seam allowances to patterns amongst other things. It is like a quilters ruler but a little but narrower on the side, which is more handy more myself as takes up leas space.It is extremely easy to use and can make out the lines. Although suppose if i was designing it would have a different colour for the the 1 line to the 2 to the 3.Other have comained about the logo in the bottom corner but i barely notice it and has had no impact on using the ruler.I have also had no issues with the sloping edge of the ruler for marking across.

I recently bought another one of these after I used the last one as an impromptu fly swat - my knee came off worse than the ruler, and the fly is probably still laughing.Anyhow, I decided to replace it with the same ruler because it's been such a useful tool. The vertical and horizontal lines along the surface make it easy to line up perfectly, and the metal strip works great with a Stanley or craft knife. I must have had the old one a couple of years, the markings haven't faded and apart from a few surface marks it looked good as new, before I decided to hit myself with it.I've seen a few reviews saying that the metal strip isn't secured properly, but I've had no problems with either of mine. I have metal rulers too, but use this one if I can because it's much easier to make sure I get the cut/line right first time. For the money it's a high quality ruler and if I happen to attack any flies in the future I'll try to use something else instead.

Very happy with this, could have done without the logo taking up a chunk of the grid which may be needed when laying out or measuring. I bought the ruler, I saw the advert, I can see the company logo on the packaging, I don't need it on the product unless it's out of the way and not affecting the functionality of the product. The metal strip is great as well, just a bit of a spoiler with the logo the grid.

Great little ruler for the price.The most important feature of this ruler to me is that the metal strip is parallel to the horizontal markings on the ruler and perpendicular to the vertical markings so I can line it up quickly to make cuts. This ruler passed with flying colours.As others have already pointed out the markings on the ruler are ever so slightly out. Over the distance of 30cm my ruler is short by 0.2mm. That's good enough for the girls I go out with.The crosshair markings indexing from the center point is potentially useful but it's more practical just to reference from some point of the ruler such as the 10 or 20cm mark as you normally would, when marking on either side of some point for example.I gave this ruler 4 stars just because in my opinion a ruler should always be trimmed so the edge of the ruler starts at 0. With the 50millimeter's worth of markings also travelling down that edge, the ruler becomes even more useful. I carefully sanded mine down and the ruler is fantastic. I haven't found the protruding metal strip to be a problem, it ensures the longevity of the ruler. The strip is about the same as another cheap craft ruler you can buy on Amazon.Well worth the pennies.

Purchased one to try, for kids to use for homework. Cheap price but nice item, with added bonus of metal edge for accurate lines and as a cutting ruler.So pleased with it I am ordering a second one for my other child, will stop them arguing over who’s going to use it!

I'm a professional modelmaker and I have got through 5 of these. It's an excellent product and the markings allow me to true things up by eye without a lot of tedious measurement. Sure, on one of the rules I purchased, the metal inlay came off. You simply glue it back on into the retaining slot with a dab of super-glue- simples. It's not the end of the world. It's a well -designed and useful product.

I'm so pleased with this ruler, it's exactly what I was looking for and at a great price too.The grid is great for getting things exactly lined up and the metal edge means I don't accidentally cut in to the plastic and end up with an un-straight edge!A few other reviews say that the metal strip comes out, but I have not had this issue.

Habe mir dieses Lineal aufgrund der Markierung und der Kante gekauft. Ich zeichne damit Häuser und Städte. Die Markierung ist perfekt für Parallellinien und durch die Kante läuft keine Tusche unter das Lineal. Das Material ist sehr stabil und glatt. Ich hoffe, es bleibt mir noch lange erhalten <3
