Seems to definitely keep your shots smooth, but will take practice
My first steadicam so I do need practice. This piece of kit seems to be of nice quality and the carbon fibre helps with the weight. But I would say probably not that much difference than the aluminium versions.Opening the box everything is packed nicely. There is a DVD with demonstrations of how to balance the system once you attach your camera. There is a quick release plate so that's nice. There are also various adjusters to help balancing. There are weights included which weigh around 104g each for the two small ones, and 208g each for the big ones. So all in all there is 624g in weights. Which should be enough for most DSLRs.Assembly was easy. But balancing wasn't so much. Eventually you will get there and you will know when you've got it because you should be able to spin the camera in a full circle and it will look like its in 'moon gravity'. In other words it will have a slow motions kind of look to it's spin. (Check out my video on Youtube below).I did some test shots and straight away you can see the difference vs handheld. On my Sony Handycam there really isn't much difference due to Sony's excellent digital stabilizers. But my Nikon DSLR showed great improvement. I admit though I need way more practice in using this as my results were nowhere near professional. But the normal shake when walking was gone and replaced by smooth motions. To pan the camera while using this you have to use just two finger on the neck of the stabilizer and just twist it slightly. As I said it takes practise but I'm sure I'll get it eventually. Happy with it anyways :)To see my Youtube video on this product go to Youtube and paste the following text into the search bar:fjf7GROCD5YAnd if this was helpful please click 'YES' below, Thanks guys!

Very steady shots for a good price
If you've never used any form of steadicam before this it might be a struggle for you to setup, balancing the camera can be tedious and time consuming, but once you get it balanced right it does give some nice shots, very good value for money.

is half useless, its just a person setting up the rig ...
it works, there is a learning curve to be had when you initially get your camera on it, and you'll notice lots of wobble. However please try and use your widest lens whilst shooting on any fly cam steady cam rig, it makes it look much nicer. also the DVD that comes with it, is half useless, its just a person setting up the rig with techno music, if anything its amusing and it did help a little. Just watch a bunch of YouTube videos to get it balanced, believe me when i tell you, you'll get used to the balancing and will have it in 5mins every time. And then just play with it, film everything get used to controlling it, learning how it moves, fly cams aren't easy to master but when you do, they're awesome, add production value to your film or video and this is super cheap

It does what it says, and quite well at that.
The instructions left much to be desired. Unclear and poorly translated. But there are a few HowTo YouTube videos out there. Some of the adjustment screws could be improved further, they can be a bit bothersome to adjust. But the product works very well once balanced and the build quality doesn't compromise it's purpose.Looking forward to a "2.0".

Just too difficult to balance.
After 2 solid days of trying to balance this, I gave up and returned it. It's just way to finicky and suffers from a few design issues. Couldn't get the camera and plate to sit forward enough so that the horizontal adjustment didn't foul on the plate. So have to adjust side to side, then lock off, the adjust forward back, then find side to side isn't right, then undo horizontal etc. Got to the point where the most minute adjustment possible would be too much (literally maybe 1mm or less), or even locking off a lever once it was 'balanced' would throw it off. Get it as good as you can, pick it up, use it for 30 seconds, put it back on a stand, and it's unbalanced again??Plus, unless you are Arnold Schwarzenegger, although it 'can' hold 3kg, try holding 5kg up for anything more than a minute or so. If you put it down, it goes out of balance.

Brilliant!
Absolutely amazing, It is not as great as the pro equipment as GlideCamHD4000 and so on but for the price I am very impressed. Did not think it would work as great as this one does. Needs a lot of practice but easy and quick to get your camera stabilized and very light. Comes with a carry bag which is very helpful. Great for this price range and great to get if you someday want to upgrade to something more expensive, but want to see if you got the skills first.

Heavy Brute
Heavy, Heavy, Heavy. With a Canon 5d II DSLR and L lens on top this thing is really hard work. Wasn't easy to set it up without wobble. I gave up and sent it back I can hand hold it better and with image stabilised lens results aren't so bad.

Not a bad little starter stabalizer
Hard to balance with all camera equipment and had to buy makeshift extra weights to get the right balance for a larger lense but ended up getting a refund due to it being unsuitable. If you're using starter kits or light cameras it works fine although stretching the budget just a little does a make a huge difference.

Little difficult at first
For someone who’s never used a gimball system at all, i found it a bit difficult to get the hang of. But after two days of YouTube tutorials, this thing is awesome. Makes camerawork look smooth and crisp. Definitely will be using it a lot, and from the looks of it, it seems like it will last for a long time. Very pleased with my purchase!
