Liquitex 125908 Professional Liquithick Thickening Gel Effects Medium, 8-oz

I find when I’m painting with acrylics the paints vary dramatically in thickness. Some want watering down ( easy with water) but some are too thin. I especially have trouble with white. It usually needs several coats before I get the finish I want. I came across this and thought I’d give it ago. It works really well. So I put a good blob of white in my palette and then add just a little bit of this on the end of my paintbrush ( smaller than pea size). Then you mix well and the paint immediately thickens. You can add extra to get your perfect consistency. The thing I like most is you don’t change the colour, luminescence or finish by adding this. It works on metallic acrylic paint too. As I use such small amounts this will last ages and is therefore very economical. I’m so pleased I ordered it and it’s become a vital piece in my art kit.

I couldn't get my head around how something could be added to paint without diluting the colour but, somehow, this stuff achieves it.I used it to beef up the texture of some rather disappointing acrylic paints and it worked a charm. It won't add opacity particularly but it makes the paint much thicker and so you can put more of it on one spot.

Now this is what I was after all alongI am new to art and wanted to do big chunky impasto work but even with heavy body and super heavy gel it wasn't happening quite as I wantedNow I joined a art club and the first day is impasto and had this or heavy gel listed so I was fine I owned everything but checked out the link explaining anywayAnd wow WOW! this stuff is magical a tiny bit makes it super thick and matteIt does take its time drying though so it's something to be aware ofBut I'm so happy to finally be able to get the look I had in my head

Quality fine , does the job nicely.

Used this to mke poor quality acrylic paint thick. A little goes a long way. Too much and it becomes caked.

Made my artwork more interesting . Thickened acrylics really well and colour not affected...enhanced colour!!!

Takes a bit of getting used to but it really works so you don't need much. Most useful while using a palette knife though brushing works too. Easy to clean up.

This worked so much better than i thought it would, and a little goes a long way. Quickly thickens the cheap acrylic walmart paints, doesnt dilute the color, and doesnt decrease drying time.I highly recommend this for anyone who uses the cheap acrylic paints but need a thicker paint for projects.I will be buying this again as soon as i run out, but that might take a while this is a pretty decent sized jar.

C'est vraiment un gel épaississant et instantané comme le titre le précise.Vous avez une peinture acrylique trop coulante ou vous voulez faire de l'empâtement ce produitest vraiment top.Tenir compte que le séchage est plus lent et il faut bien dosé 1/4 gel 3/4 peinture est idéal, il y a toujours moyensoit d'ajouter de l'eau si le mélange est devenu trop épais ou d'utiliser votre acrylique comme de la peinture à l'huile (pâteuse).Bref, je suis satisfait
