Bestand Laptop Stand, Aluminum Notebook Stand with Heat-Vent For MacBook Air/Pro, Dell,HP,Lenovo,Microsoft Surface, Samsung 11-16 inches Notebook, Silver(Patented)

I wanted a simple and neat laptop stand that can elevate my laptop as well as help with cooling/ventilation. Now, I use a Dell XPS 13 Plus which weighs 1.28 kg. I found three similar looking options on Amazon, namely:1) the BUTTERFLY-US aluminium laptop holder (£18.99) – left in photo2) the RAINDESIGN mstand (£39.99) – middle in photo3) the BESTAND aluminium laptop stand (£42.98) – right in photoSince they all look rather similar and all had good reviews, I initially went with the cheapest option, thinking that they are all just a bend piece of aluminium. Not so!On receiving the BUTTERFLY-US aluminium laptop holder, I noted that it has a good weight, the surface finish is a light matt grey. The 4 little rubber pads stuck onto the bottom surface and the 4 rubber pads on the top surface are small and rather thin. The square hole in the top surface is a good size and would provide good airflow. The angle of the top surface is quite horizontal. The thin strip of foam stuck onto the front hooks to protect the front edge of the laptop was already coming off and clearly the adhesive is too weak. The main issue was that the top surface is quite springy and flexes when typing on the laptop keyboard. If you typed at speed, it would actually start to bounce. If you rest your palms on the front edge of the laptop with too much force, the whole thing could tilt forwards.So, I decided to try the next one up which was the RAINDESIGN mstand at more than double the cost of the BUTTERFLY-US laptop holder. The Raindesign mstand comes in either gold or space grey - the silver option is only available for the version with the rotating base which I didn’t want. So, I went with the space grey one. The surface finish is a mid-grey, slight smoother than the BUTTERFLY-US laptop holder. The 4 rubber pads stuck onto the bottom surface and the 4 rubber pads on the top surface are larger than the BUTTERFLY-US and a tad thicker. However, the single raindrop-shaped hole in the top surface is quite small and would only allow limited airflow. The silicone pads stuck onto the front hooks to protect the front edge of the laptop are nice and large. The top surface slopes forward a bit more than the BUTTERFLY-US and is certainly more rigid and better damped. However, there is still a slight “bounce” when typing fast and there is also a slight tendency for the Raindesign mstand to tilt forward if you rest your palms on the front edge of the laptop. This is somewhat disappointing considering the good reviews from many Amazon buyers and also from professional comparison review sites.Since the BESTAND is only a few quid more than the Raindesign mstand, I decided to give that a try. The Bestand has a very high-quality textured silver surface that stands out from the other two. While the 4 silicone pads on the bottom are stuck on, the 4 protective silicone pads on the top surface are inserted through the full thickness of the top surface. This meant that there is no chance that the adhesive on the pads would “melt” with the heat from the lap and allow the pads to come loose. The silicone pads are about 2mm thick which raises the laptop to allow better airflow between the stand and the laptop. The 3 longitudinal ventilation slits on the top surface potentially provide airflow to the widest area underneath the laptop. When typing on the laptop, there is absolutely no give to the top surface. The only slight downside to the Bestand is that the silicone pads on the front hooks to protect the front edge of the laptop are quite small compared with those on the Raindesign. Time will tell how durable these are.In summary, even though these three fixed-height metal laptop stands look similar on paper, they are very different in the flesh, especially when tested side-by-side. If you just wanted something to elevate your laptop screen and you always use a separate keyboard anyway, the BUTTERFLY-US will suffice at a low price. However, if you wanted to type on the laptop keyboard with it on the stand, the Bestand is the one to go for. Even though it looked like a simple piece of bent aluminium, there had clearly been a lot of attention paid to small details and the quality is superb. In my opinion, the Bestand is well worth the extra cost if you wanted the most rigid laptop stand that also looks sleek and oozes quality.My search for the best laptop stand is complete. I shall happily keep the BESTAND and return the other two.

I used this for my home office and right height to view and have zoom calls. Sturdy and good quality plus looks good what’s more to like!

This stand is great for a large laptop, it's very sturdy and made of nice aluminum, and a really nice color. My laptop sits on the stand and doesn't move when you want it to on the stand due to the grips on the stand.

It saves you bending over to see the screen and keeps it eye level!At first when it arrived I thought it would be to tall but it’s the perfect size, the bumper pads the front of the stand are brilliant, sturdy enough and keeps my MacBook cool.

Unable to load photos. This is exactly as described. Quite sturdy, has an area underneath to hide cables and other bits. Sits at a decent height too. Recommend.

This review for the “Spinido Aluminum Laptop Desktop Stand”based on my experience for my laptop which is the “Dell XPS 13” which has a bezel less screen which really makes it a 14” screen.”I got the package fast as usual and when I opened it, I was first amazed at the weight of the stand “Solid & Weighty”. Also the fact that it matched my Dell XPS`s brushed silver was a real bonus.I doubt if you will be able to break this even if it did take a few falls, unless you take a hammer to it of course.Now I looked at quite a few of these types of stands for my laptop and some of them had a tipping point as to say the whole laptop tips over when on the stand which would not be good as a £1000+ laptop hits the ground.My laptop will angle at 135 degrees then the hinge stops it and the stand had no bother with that. Although I couldn’t test it, but I’m sure this stand would take 180 degrees if needed depending on the weight of the screen, hinge etc.Now again on my XPS 13, there was about 1” on either side of the stand that sticks out, so your miles will vary depending on your laptop but read other reviews for info on that.I bought this stand because I was always looking down to the laptop screen from my main monitor screens which were higher. So now all 3 monitors are at eye level mostly and I just use one “Dell Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse” to control both laptop and desktop “Great Job”.The weight of the stand is 1.6kg and has got rubber type feet to stop it sliding about on your desk and they DO WORK.I would definitely give this product a solid 10/10 and a bargain for the price.I also uploaded a few images which I took myself being a photographer.Enjoy.

This laptop stand is stylish, sturdy and does what its supposed to do. I chose to purchase because my desk was too low and I wanted to save my posture.It arrives ready to use with no need to assemble. The material is strong and gives a superior finish. The vents also provide good ventilation so the laptop does not overheat. and there are anti-slip silicone pads on the base of the stand to ensures a sturdy base that does not move, but there are also silicone pads on the actual stand which keep the my large 17" laptop in place and offer great protection from unwanted scratches or damage.I would highly recommend this product as it is a fantastic item which meets every criteria I have in a laptop stand.

After debating for some time before buying this, I finally made a purchase during the Black Friday Sale.On first glance, the metal is of very high quality and it is super study without any irritating wobbles! While it is not adjustable, it is a great height for those who are maybe on the taller side (I’m 5ft 8!), as I find the height perfect for what I need, with or without a keyboard underneath.On a whole, I am absolutely pleased with my purchase & can definitely recommend 😊.

Es una base increiblemente solida, aguanto mi laptop gamer incluso aunque me puse a escribir sobre ella, no se movia de manera notable, si eres de un lugar calido, esto se calentara aun mas dañando tu equipo, sin embargo es verdad que las rejillas que incluye, permiten la respiracion del equipo que tengas en el de manera correcta

Rajoute un réel plus sur le bureau. Le produit est équipé d’un passe-câble pour que les branchements ne soient pas chaotiques. Le corps tout en acier donne un aspect « premium » au produit malgré son prix abordable. Je recommande.
