Neat and compact DAC
this is neat compact, and so far does what it says on the tin. I am converting the optical SPDIF output from a TV to analogue and this does the job perfectly and at a good price.The packing was fine, as were the instructions and despatch was prompt. I would use this seller again if they had something I needed

24-bit D/A converter
Excellent sound and good sensitivity even with long optical cable. Works so much better than the low res version, which had loud background noises incl a whine. There is no volume control; this has to be done on the computer or TV

Great sound. Easy to set up
Having upgraded to Sky Q found the new box doesn't have audio output but optical audio which wasn't compatible with my cinema system. Saw this and bought. Arrived quickly and this is a great bit of kit. Easy to set up and feels very well made. Also small enough to hide behind sky box. We'll impressed with sound quality and I'm no longer listening through my crappy TV speaker. Highly recommended this product

does what it says
Needed this as my new Blu ray / HDD recorder only had digital sound out and my amplifier only had analogue in put! Works OK but needs its own power supply

Decent, but does not like the terrestrial channels. Probably different encoding.
Works decent with all channels on my Sky box except UK terrestrial ones... Must be something to do with the encoding...Makes a nasty nose with those channels. Luckily I can watch those on my PC.

Creates buzzing through interference
You get what you pay for I suppose. Used this to hook brand new TV to a high quality Rega Amp. Very low quality sound and worse of all it created a really loud buzzing noise into my hifi system - my turntable was badly affected and developed a really loud buzzing noise. When I disconnected it, the buzz disappeared. Not good.
