I hadn't heard of or used a coffee distributor before, but after reading about it I decided to give it a try. This one sounded interesting since it has the gravity adjustment rather than having to mess around with adjustments done manually. It's very substantial, heavy and well made, and it works well to smooth the top of the puck. The 58mm fits perfectly on my 58mm Rancilio Silvia filter basket.I grind my coffee directly into the filter basket and then knock it a bit to settle the grounds, next I use a WDT tool to be sure there are no clumps, and then I use this distribution tool to smooth everything out before tamping. It's worth adding that the WDT tool is a fantastic addition to my routine and I feel it makes a huge difference in the process. This distribution/smoothing tool is also a nice addition after the WDT tool. Finally, I just got a spring loaded tamper to get a consistent tamp pressure and these three tools have given my shots solid consistency and vastly improved coffee extraction and taste, so I feel all items are worth it. I haven't had a failure since starting this routine.

Bought myself the palm tamper and this gravity distributor. These are the ones to keep after trying quite a few combinations from other brands (Normcore, Bombers, and few others). Being a gravity distributor, this has a perfect weight to push and twist while the other ones are either sloppy, over engineered or unnecessarily heavy.Ikape has been solid and my fave out of all Amazon’s big 3 espresso accessory brands (Normcore, Bomber). Also the palm tamper is very consistently good and satisfying to use.

Das System ist so einfach, aber deswegen nicht ungleich genial! Dieser leveler stellt sich automatisch auf die verwendete Kaffeemenge ein, genial! Ich nutze seitdem keinen anderen mehr.

I did like the design of it looks nice but it just doesn't work on my coffee filter its not long enough doesn't really reach the coffee on my filter even tho i set it on the maximum level it can go.
