Q: Can this be used on melamine?

Wouldn’t have thought so. But if you scour the surface first, you might be lucky.

Q: I have painted skirting boards were knots havent been sealed will this work to stop bleeding from knots coming back through

Not super impressed with this when trying to stop “greasy” leaking from decorator’s caulking. If it was me, I’d use original knotting compound which always works.

Q: Do you have to do it over the entire wall or can it just be the patches? I was to repaint the whole wall in grey.

As long as the stain is dry. You can indeed touch up the affected areas. No need to do the whole wall.

Q: How good is this over black mould in a bathroom? Tried several things and nothing works.

Use a brand called HG …. Mould spray works wonders, black mould literally disappeared after 30 minutes

Does what it says on the lable

I used this paint on the horrible old cheap, brown wood doors in my flat. I had painted two doors not using this paint, even though I used sugar soap to clean them before hand and rubbed them gently with sandpaper, between coats, so the paint had a good bond. The brown kept bleeding through and caused it to look yellow. A friend recommended that I use a stain blocker. Found this one on Amazon and the reviews were very good for this product. It arrived the next day and I tried it out on a door which was still in original colour. Paint went on easily and was thick enough as to not drip off the brush much so the groundsheet was still relatively clean. It drys quite quickly so it allowed me to add a coat of gloss on top. Checked it out next day, I was well happy with the finished door. I am well happy as I was able to get on and finish all of the doors with just one coat of the Rustins paint and one using the gloss. Definitely recommended to stop old paint bleeding through and ruining the finish of the new paint

I could not have put his on any thinner and didn’t cover anywhere near the stated amount. Does go on well though. Overall happy but did need to buy a lot more than expected. Even the biggest tin is tiny.
