The jaws are soft plastic.Soft. Plastic.On a 'precision' measurement instrument.With no protective case or anything to keep it in.Think about that for a second.And: only precise to 0.1mm.I guess you get what you pay for...you buy cheap, you buy twice: there is a fully metal, 0.01mm caliper available on Amazon for only slightly more money, which I have since bought, and which is FAR superior to this one.If you're looking to do some proper measuring (in my case checking dimensions of 3D printed parts and making sure the printer's components are aligned properly), this caliper is probably not for you. If you want something very cheap, have something soft to keep it in, and are going to be VERY careful using it to measure other softish items and don't care about deviations smaller than 0.1mm, then it's probably fine for that purpose.

I needed this to measure a few of my watches. Over time i have forgotten lug size and other measurements. Its so much easier than using a ruler as you get a super accurate reading from the LCD screen. I now also use this when i research other watches i want to buy and read their measurements. I now use this to see if i own similar size watches to compare.

As a relative newcomer to 3D printing I have got to the stage where I needed some vernier calipers, to both check consistency in the filament I'm buying and measuring things in the real world to allow me to accurately allow for them in CAD. These calipers as badged as 'Amazons Choice for Vernier' on the listing, and they were half the price of the similar looking ones (but not the cheapest by miles). I have previous experience of the brand from their rotary tool which I thought was good value so I purchased these. As a result I'm slightly conflicted here, but it's my own fault. The product performs exactly how it is described but there's a few things that I obviously wasn't paying enough attention to. Firstly, the accuracy is not sufficient to check my filament as it only goes down to tenths of a mm, so I can only confirm 1.7mm of my 1.75mm filament. Secondly, I thought it had a thumbwheel, but this is just a hard-moulded piece of visual design rather than actual functioning thumbwheel. I knew from other reviews that the jaws were plastic so that wasn't a surprise, and I was happy enough with that. With all that considered, I still actually think these were good value and very accessible as a 'my first set' type of deal, but if you use them with any regularity you will quickly outgrow them. They're as accurate as they claim and certainly get the job done at a low cost.

I ordered the DC01 and found it inaccurate for my intents as the plastic flexed distorting the measurements, seller reached out and offered a free of charge replacement with the DC02 which has a rigid metal body, fine adjustment screw, better resolution and a locking screw.

I bought this based on cost and that’s what I got. It’s kinda cheap looking and it’s not a prestigious instrument which is a joy to use. Does it do its job? Absolutely it does and it seems pretty accurate to me. It provides all the expected functions of a digital calliper, inside, outside and depth measurements easily achieved. The box it arrived in is what you keep it in. There’s no wastage or fancy stuff here. If that’s what you are looking for, as I was, then I’m very happy to recommend.

I ordered this as I needed it for some work today. It arrived well packaged, both from Amazon and the manufacturer.The case that the callipers are stored in is very sturdy.Whilst using the callipers, I was impressed by how easy they were to use - there is a small roller on the bottom that makes it easy to get those minute adjustments.So far I have only used this for a day but I am extremely impressed with how accurate the display is. It is also very easy to read.

I purchased this purely for the purpose of knowing what size jewellery I needed. It takes a small watch battery which was included with the product. Easy to use and read. Large LED display shows you exactly how long something is or even the thickness by either inches or mm.Easy to hold and move the dail across. Simple to understand very happy with the purchase and would recommend

I am a beginner who very occasionally needs to measure guitar strings and fret wire also the width and depth of the neck where it joins the body of the instrument. This is brilliant and easily meets my guitar needs. Reproducibility is great too (i.e. measure something, reset, measure again), it's always within the resolution of the display.They are pretty solid and precise and the case that they are supplied with will keep them so. The mechanism is smooth and the roller works well. For the price you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend.
