Great heater for my small office room. Replaced a bigger oil heater than died after a year. Heats up much faster and takes up less space. No chance of an oil leak. Recommended.

I needed an under the desk heater for work as my feet are always cold. I had a fan heater before that and Ben on the lower setting it was as consuming 1220W and it never heat up evenly. It would either burn my shoes or let all heat escape. This one is just above 700W and as it heats more evenly and slowly I have heat all around the underneath of my table. It also stops and starts when it gets warm so it has really halved my electricity bill so it basically it has paid itself off in possibly 2 and a half months! You can see on the graph it has reduced my daily consumption from 7.42KWh to 4.32KWh. Your cost of assuming a KWh is £0.34 will be around 25pence per hour. It creates quite a lot of heat for such a small heater. People say that the power button blows up after a while but I will replace it with a non neon button from CPC so it can last a long time. Very light too. Also no oil so no mess or fire hazard for work! Really happy with purchase.

This looks like being a good little heater — it's small and pleasing in appearance, warms up quickly, and there's a dial to adjust the heat setting rather than simply on/off or hi/lo. My only disappointment was a small fault which is only cosmetic and does not affect the function — the end casing affixed to the body of the heater, onto which the foot is screwed, is slightly malformed at one end and cannot be made to sit neatly in place. There's a gap. It's not broken, and it was carefully packaged with protective polystyrene inside the box; it must have left the factory like it, I think. We carefully unscrewed the casing and reassembled it but it's just a bit awry and we couldn't fix it. I decided it was a first-world problem, and over the top to require a delivery man to come out all over again to get a replacement; I've positioned it so that side is to the back. But it is a minor irritation, especially as this model is much more expensive than some of similar size — I bought it because I think it's so pretty. I don't know how well it will perform once the cold weather comes, but it certainly functions fine and sits neatly in the space next to my bed. It's really light to pick up and move, which I like, comes with an instruction sheet, and the on/off switch and setting dial are clear and easy to get to.

Fantastic little heater that kicks out plenty of heat while burning only 700 watts. Even better it does not contain oil, despite looking like an oil heater. Highly recommend these units from Dimplex.

I bought this to heat up my motorhome. After 1 hour 45 minutes on full power it only increased the internal temperature by 2 degrees. Item to be returned. Not fit for purpose
