CAVEAT EMPTOR! Eight thousand lumens is an absurd aspiration; I agree with earlier reviewer - reduce advertised/expected value MINIMALLY by a factor of ten. Actual power facts: 18650 battery is 65 mm in length; AAA battery is 44.5 mm in length. Do the math. While three AAA batteries will fit inside the circumference of the flashlight body - do not expect to have much more than a rattle, in the dark. My electricity will not arc across the remaining 10.5 mm void from the AAA batteries to the contacts - of course your electricity may vary. Finally, threads on the rear of the body are square cut which makes the end cap very easy to screw on; but an indication of exceptionally slovenly manufacturing resulting in substantially less water resistance for anything more than a heavy fog or the slightest wisp of perspiration. The rear o-ring seal actually fits into one of the thread grooves, so the o-ring is indeed of larger diameter than a human hair ... just. Not even worth the postage to return.

It's not physically possible to produce 8,000 lumens from a single 18650 battery, so I had no expectation that claim would be accurate. I like these flashlights a lot and would buy them again, and I would give them a solid 4 stars except for the obviously ridiculous claim that they put out 8,000 lumens.Seller, if you read this and fix your text to make it accurate I will upgrade this review to 4 stars.I bought these because they are very similar to a flashlight that was left at my mother's home apparently by one of the paramedics who picked her up when she had a health crisis two years ago. She gave that one to me, and I have adopted that general type as my standard flashlight. I've gotten very tired of leaky alkaline batteries destroying everything they touch, the upgrade to Li-ion batteries has been wonderful in every way.This is a solid flashlight, very rugged and reliable. One nice feature of these particular ones is that they include a plastic inner sheath that reduces battery wobble.
