I bought this primarily for handling wetter bread dough (using methods from Dan Lepard and Andrew Whitley) - so that my hands don't get so sticky and so that I can scrape up any dough from the work surface and bowl to make washing up easier. These are quite cheap and look very basic - a blade of smooth, semi-rigid plastic, a bit like the kind of thing some plastic crockery is made from - so I didn't have very high expectations.However they've proven to be very useful, both for the reasons I bought them, and also for:1) slicing bread and scone dough, pastry etc - they're quite thin and therefore cut well, but being plastic don't mark my wooden surfaces2) scraping cake batter from mixing bowls - although these aren't flexible like traditional spatulas or the newer silicone ones, they aren't completely rigid, and they are quite thin and rounded - I tried one out after finding spatulas so hard to get clean where the handle fits to the spatula, not expecting it to work very well, but it got the bowl completely clean. Being all one piece and flat they're very easy to clean and store and I would definitely buy more if I needed them.

I have two metal scrapers for bread mixing and cutting but this one is a good size and shape and I like the fact It is flexible and can using it in round bowls and for getting bread out of tins. Great value

I’m an avid cleaner and am always on the look out for handy cleaning gadgets. I wanted a new scrapper for my kitchen surfaces and floors, for dried on debris removal. This scrapper is very good for this. But I also wanted a scrapper that could cope with cleaning my gas hob that would be pliable, so that I could bend into the corners of the hob when cleaning. This material struggles as it’s a touch too rigid, it’s more plastic than silicone. I would have given this 5 stars if it had been more flexible. Overall, a handy bit of kit at a good price.

Really good dough scraper. Easy to use, easy to clean.

I've tried several dough scrapers and this one's my favourite, cheap as it is. It's strong but flexible and the curves allow me to get cleanly around my 30cm Faringdon 5.0 Ltr Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl. The curved edges have a slight bevel to them, so they're thin enough to cut dough cleanly and are useful for scaping down the work surface afterwards. I like its size too: it fits my female hand well and isn't too big; just right in fact for handling and mixing a loaf's worth of dough. I prefer it to the larger and less flexible Kitchen Craft Dough Cutter and Scraper, and it knocks spots off the expensive and too-clever-by-half Wilton Dough Scraper.

Bought as a replacement for a more expensive scraper that was inadvertently binned by a family member. Thought there can’t be that much design though in a piece of plastic to warrant the extra cost of others. The scraper looks good and is well shaped but the top has sharp edges that dig into the hand under the weight of dough. Okay if you’re tougher than me but I’ll buy another and keep this one as a spare.

This is a great little gadget to use. Making puree or smooth mash now so much easier. Great low price. Fast delivery which was in the same package as the drum sieve I ordered so really happy with that. Nothing negative & an easy 5 out of 5. Will definitely use seller again.

I bought the scraper a few weeks ago and have used it a few times in making bread and scones too. It's very handy when emptying dough out of a bowl, in making it easier to remove it fairly cleanly.I've also used the scraper to knead and fold 'wet' dough and cutting dough as well.I'm happy with the product and will probably use it quite frequently.
