I've been using Shorai batteries for years and years. Ditch the heavy old school lead acid battery your bike probably came with. These Shorais feel like you're holding an empty box in comparison. Great weight savings and better battery performance. They never strand me and I've forgotten to charge them over entire winter seasons and they always surprise me. The bike starts right up. Highly recommend.

Put this on a Honda ST 1300. The only difficulty on the install was that the cord is in the center of the battery not at one of the ends. I had to do a little modification to get the cord to come out to the charger.Very happy with the charger process. It only has two settings storage or charge. When put in the storage the battery still has enough power to start the motorcycle. So since I'm not writing frequently in the summer I am leaving the battery in storage mode. Unless you're writing every two or three days I recommend for the longevity of the battery just to leave it in storage mode unless you're making very short trips and are starting the motor a lot.Overall, this is perfect for me since I don't ride everyday or sometimes for a few weeks.

I have Shorai batteries in three different bikes. You need a charger that works with lithium batteries, but you can charge them fully and then they will keep a charge for a long time depending on residual drain. My bikes are low tech, so the charge doesn't change over many months if I am not riding them.

2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R.Fits fine, had to do some adjustments to the battery compartment. Works really well for now. Coming from Yuasa oem battery, this seems like a great upgrade.How long will it last not sure but whenever it does, I will make sure to come back and update my review.Z

My original battery was nearly 5 years old and the starter was getting slower. This seems to be not only a replacment, but an upgrade. The battery case is the same size as OEM, but is way lighter. It comes with everything you need. My bike starts much faster, and now I don't feel like I'll get stranded somewhere with a non starting bike.

Basically I like Shorai batteries, but it is wrong for the company to withhold information that someone new to these batteries---or to a specific one of these batteries---should be told up front. In this case since Shorai didn't specify a model for my 2007 BMW R1200RT, I ordered the one that in a general way was said to be for bikes over 600cc (The cranking power seemed fine.) To get the battery to fit I not only had to use all of the supplied mini-cell foam blocks provided (and a few I had left over from another installation on another of my bikes) but also had to turn the battery front to back and do some cable bending so that the cables could attach to the correct poles. It weren't easy. And it means that to charge the battery, I must remove it from the bike because that is the only way to get the special charging plug to plug in---a time consuming process. ANOTHER THING that should have been mentioned up front is that you really should buy the dedicated charger and that said charger ain't one of the cheaper ones. So it's basically a good battery, but installing it and living with it might not be so much fun.
