Better than Illy Intenso
If you use a sage espress or similar espresso machine and like Illy Intenso, but notice the inconsistency, this Italian coffee is a great replacement. I find I get the same unique rich taste profile every time alternating between a grind setting of 4 and a 3. This coffee is similar to Illy but has it's own unique character and is better for a consistent experience.

Fresh for a fair price
Really good value for money and a good compromise between quality and affordability. Made an excellent espresso and was clearly fresh. Just wish they put the roasting date on the packaging. Will buy again though.

Every coffee lover should try Brown Bear
This is my first try of Brown Bear coffee and I like mine strong and flavourful so I went for the Mambo Italiano Bean. I have to say I was not disappointed! The packinging looks good and the resealable bag is great for storing the beans to keep them fresh, I’d recommend popping the bag in the fridge to lengthen freshness as the bag is much larger than I expected! There is plenty of product for the price, which is great and the charitable donation is an extra bonus. The bean is dark and I ground it course, I wouldn’t say it’s too intense for any coffee lover but strong enough and packed with flavour. Good with milk which I think brought out a sweetness in the bean. Will be buying again and I’ll be trying the others too

It's coffee Jim
I've only tried them as a black coffee from an aeropress and they taste OK. The packaging doesn't tell you when they were roasted, or what the beans are. Appreciate beans may seasonally change but a roast date is essential from good roasters. I'd say they're close to being a proper dark Italian roast but have stopped short, probably wisely because I'm not sure the taste would be helped by more roasting. The background flavours are muted compared to many speciality coffees but if you're a fan of what I think of as "coffee" flavour - like a strong coffee you've been able to get for years but potentially slightly better then these could be for you, their is a nice bit of smokiness and I'll enjoy using the pack for a straightforward morning coffee, I'm just not sure that I'd get more.

Exceptional value for money
A great tasting coffee that compares very favourably to my usual preferred Mocha Italia beans from H@rrod$, whilst lovely, they do not represent good value for money anymore since I have found this from Brown Bear at less than half the price and at least 95% the quality.The fact that they support Free the bears is an added bonus.I will be keeping my machine stocked with these beans

The coffee is not freshly roasted coffee. How many years old are the beans?Do not buy this coffee!

Good service great coffee
Bought this coffee for my mom & she was soon back looking for more. Strong in strength but not too burnt so its a thumbs up from her.
