UPDATE: I recently tested this product to check that it does indeed contain live fermenting (probiotic) microorganisms and the test proved positive (I used milk which was rapidly fermented into a kefir within 2 days). My uncle also began using this upon my recommendation for his elderly cat with joint issues and it has helped enormously. I have found that this does not help my cat with her itching but does for her bowel issues and hip joint problems. I am using homeopathy now to alleviate her skin itching and rodent ulcer (both of which are often seen as vaccinosis issues). STill struggling to get my elderly cats to accept organic foods but it is ongoing - they eat more than they did before anyway. With new cats I would now always use this as well as feed raw fresh organic foods from the outset and protect using homeopathy and natural methods from the start. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Has really helped my 12 year old cat recover from a hip injury last year - for the first time she was able to jump onto the kitchen side from the floor a few weeks ago! Her scratching has also reduced but not gone fully as yet. Both cats seem healthier with this and are eating far less - however have also switched them onto better quality foods at same time. However having seen the difference to my own health that daily kefir has made I strongly recommend probiotics for your pets also. This has also helped my sister's cat with it's joint issues as well. Have recommended to family and would absolutely buy again - however with just the two cats this will last a very long time!

I cannot guarantee that everyone will have the same amazing results that I have had with this product. We became our Rag Dolls forever home after she had had an unfortunate start in life by owners who neglected her welfare and chose to concentrate in saving money rather than feeding quality food suitable for her requirements. We honestly believe that she was fed table scraps. We have very infrequent curries or Pizza's but whenever we did she would raise her feet onto legs and beg for a little. Obviously she was never given any. The result being that from the time we have had her she has suffered with colitis. Every form off veterinary treatment was tried including a three month course of steroids which depleted her immune system resulting in her getting ring worm. We decided to see what we could achieve by using alternative foods. We finally found one which was more beneficial than all other foods but did still have some messy poo's requiring her rear to be cleaned which was not pleasant for me and much to the discontentment of cat. The slightest deviation from this food was disastrous. If just three or four kimble's of alternative food was added would result in poo's running from her. After using this product for 2 weeks I am now adding 20 - 30 kimble's of two alternative foods and today I have even given her a very small piece of meat. I have been uncomfortable constantly feeding her the same food but this product is proving to be a God Send. I hope I do not tempt fate by making this comment, but since using I have not had one messy poo, they have all been firm links and I have not required to clean her bum even once. Anyone with my former problem I would recommend giving this a try. Like I say I can"t guarantee it but it is more than worthy of a try. GOOD LUCK.

This was ordered for a 7 year old cat who had very runny diarrhoea. She was taken to the vet who couldn't find anything wrog with her. She was bright and playful, just a bad stomach. So the vet advised giving her cooked chicken and rice, and said to come back for blood tests, etc., if it continued. Well it did, so I ordered this product after reading the reviews. She wasn't too keen on it, but it made her eat slower! Also by the end of the week I could see a big difference. So I would definitely recommend it to everyone to try.

The tub is handy sized and stores well, the included spoon is functional and providers the correct dose, I assume. However, I gave this three stars on balance.Dog1 eats everything from grass, to sticks, to other dogs dung. Disgusting I know, and we avoid giving him the chance. This product has had no effect on him, he is very regular and consistent, and emits close to zero noxious gas.Dog2 only eats dog food, he is not a scavenger, and once in a while gets a treat for exceptional performance in training. He reacted adversely to this product, from zero noxious-ness to absolute leave the room toxicity. I mean, burn my your eyes type stink here. I have never experienced that about of smell come out of something so small. My god its bad.I cannot offer any input other than some dogs react well to it, and others do not.

My German Shepherd has always been prone to ear problems. Vets always prescribe the same medication which works in the short term but they never diagnose the problem. He was constantly shaking his head and huge lumps of black material came flying out of his ears. After some research I discovered the problem was Yeast. Since using this product, one scoop into his food, the problem has disappeared. I wouldn't be without it.

Been using for several months now. All seems okay, with my senior Rough Collies (four of them, age 13 & 14). The senior dogs are like young chickens, being vocal and full of mischief in the park. Nice to see, for old dogs.I add Probiotics Extra to the dogs dry food. With this product It does dry their feces up a little, so need to add a few drops of liquid paraffin to each meal. More of an issue to my senior dogs who are on other medication.

My 11 yr old lab has various allergies & probiotics were recommended to me.I used two pots of this product & his allergies seemed a little bit better. But when I stopped using it I really did notice how much it had been benefiting him. He began to chew his paws alot more, had excessive wind & looser stools. I have now purchased a third pot & will continue to keep him on this, his whole digestive system works alot better (no wind/firmer stools). Excellent product & a pot lasts a long time.
