Mastering Arabic 1 (Macmillan Master Series (Languages)) Paperback – 1 Nov. 2014

I love this book and series. Unfortunately there is no CD, and exercises throughout the book refer to it, which is strange. I even sent an email to the address included in the book to ask about the CD but the email address did not appear to be valid. This is a pity as the CD would be a useful addition to this book.There is a website given in the book, and this leads you to further on line materials and resources which have been very helpful.

This book I bought as a beginner but I can use it in more depth when we go onto the next stage.

Very good tried it and can see my progress, exercise instructions are clear, you can follow step by step the lessons. Lots of vocabulary. I recommend for beginners

Very good book for learning Arabic. Very complete and with many extra resources. The only drawback is that there are a typos on the short vowels of words along the book.

This book is a must for any learner of Arabic as a lot of thought and consideration went into its production. It is more detailed and full of illustrations that can help improve the learner's understanding of the language. Yes, I would recommend it without any due hesitation.

got it really quickly, well wrapped.i've started to learn arabic and i needed it for my class. it's a good book with good explanation and a lot of exercises.just one thing, i've ordered the one without the cd and i think it can be really helpful.

The book contents itself is very good, and very useful in learning Arabic in conjunction with Arabic lessons.The copy received however is black and white, and it should be in colour. I did not realize this and I have been using it for the last 6 months. I only realised something was amiss when trying to learn the arabic words for colour. I will be purchasing another copy of this book from another vendor as I wish to have the colour version

Looks like it's of good quality. Contains good and concise explanations with examples and pictures!

Lo esperado

One of the better Arabic courses.

Whilst the course is an introductory course and I have just started, I find I need to use a magnifying glass to identify the symbol above or below an Arabic letter, especially the "shadda" and "madda".

El libro está en escala de grises. En la contraportada pone claramente que las imágenes están en color, de hecho lo publicitan así, pero a la hora de la verdad el libro está en escala de grises, por lo que, aparte de ser menos atractivo, no es funcional para, por ejemplo, aprender los colores. Por 35 € no merece la pena pagar algo así cuando lo puedes encontrar por Internet. La portada es algo diferente también. Decepcionado con la editorial macmillan, que hace los libros, y con Amazon que no me ha mandado el producto que publicita.
